Puff-my-gosh there's so many, and so little time. I thought I could - nip it in the bud- as it were, in only one hub. But then I kept running into another film or a documentary that had the presence of the Herb, or about it entirely. Just last night I saw the Bill Maher's film Religulous. And low and behold, or rather high and behold he met with a preist of the THC Ministry, and naturly, Bill sparked-up. I would have liked him to talk to members of other religions instead of just the top four. Is there a part II coming up ?

In the wake of a personal tragedy, Hollywood's psychiatrist to the stars (Kevin Spacey) devolves into a slovenly pothead and worries he's become incapable of helping his patients in this sharp indie drama that premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. The film also stars Saffron Burrows, Robin Williams, Jack Huston, Griffin Dunne, Gore Vidal, and Mark Webber as the shrink's diverse brood of showbiz clientele.

Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay  -2008

Having satisfied their urge for White Castle, Harold(John Cho) and Kumar (Kal Penn) jump on a plane to catch up with Harold's love interest (Paula Garces) who's headed for the Netherlands. But the pair must change their plans when Kumar is accused of being a terrorist. RobCorddry also stars in this wild comedy sequel that follows the hapless stoners' misadventures as they try to avoid being captured by the Department of Homeland Security.

Cameo appearances galore (Steven Wright, Snoop Dogg, Jon Stewart, Janeane Garofalo, Willie Nelson, Stephen Baldwin, Tommy Chong, Bob Saget) will remind you of the film heyday of Cheech and Chong. 

Totally Baked -2007

Following in the tradition of such cult classics as Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke, Half Baked and Friday, this offbeat comedy satirizes the controversy and politics surrounding marijuana use and pot culture. Through hilarious sketches, sidesplitting stand-up routines, roundtable discussions and revealing interviews, director Lee Abbott's one-of-a-kind "Pot-U-Mentary" dares to ask the question, should the weed be freed?

How High  -2001

In this hilarious, wacky comedy, two pothead rap stars smoke some brain-enhancing weed before taking college entrance exams -- and, to their surprise, score high enough to get into the hallowed halls of Harvard University! Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams  -1981

This third outing for the kings of stoner comedy (Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong) concerns their latest enterprise: selling ice cream from a truck. Of course, they deliver more than just good humor to their customers. Stacy Keach returns from their 1978 debut hit Up in Smoke, and the supporting cast features other pop culture icons from the era, such as Dr. Timothy Leary, Paul Reubens, Sandra Bernhard and Linnea Quigley.

 Showtime's  Weeds  -2005

Suburban widow Nancy Botwin (Golden Globe winner Mary-Louise Parker) launches a profitable but unlikely business venture as pot dealer in the first season of this hit Showtime series about the challenges of managing motherhood -- and marijuana. Desperate times force Nancy into desperate dealings with dangerous characters, which raises the suspicions of a self-involved neighbor (Elizabeth Perkins, in an Emmy-nominated role) and the DEA.

 Milk  -2008

Sean Penn (in an Oscar-winning role) stars in this fact-based drama about Harvey Milk, the openly gay activist and San Francisco politician who was murdered along with Mayor George Moscone (Victor Garber) by disgruntled city supervisor Dan White (Josh Brolin) in 1978. Emile Hirsch, James Franco and Diego Luna co-star in directors Gus Van Sant's compelling biopic, which also earned Oscar nods for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor (Brolin).

Platoon  -1986

Helmed by Oliver Stone, this searing autobiographical drama chronicles the Vietnam experiences of naïve volunteer soldier Chris Taylor (Charlie Sheen), whose view of the conflict starts to change after witnessing murder and rape at the hands of his compatriots. Platoon won Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Director, with Tom Berenger and William Dafoe earning supporting actor nods as rival topkicks who offer Sheen contrasting role models.

Thelma & Louise -1991

Waitress Louise Sawyer (Susan Sarandon) and naive housewife Thelma Dickinson (Geena Davis) take off for a simple weekend free of men … and become outlaws blazing a cathartic trail across America. This Special Edition video includes audio commentary with director Ridley Scott, writer Callie Khouri and the two stars; four documentaries; deleted scenes; an alternate ending with director's commentary -- and much more! This is Brad Pitt's first film, and no he doesn't fire one up in the film, per say, a dread headed biker does. And where he blows the smoke would make any stoner screem, "all-right!"  The ending still chokes me up.
