Tip Number 1)

Brush your Teeth. This may seem like a very simple tip but many people neglect to do it on a regular basis, small slow gentle circular motions when brushing and spend a minimum of 2-3 minutes brushing, many people miss their back molars or brush their teeth for only a minute. Doing this a few times a day can greatly improve your Dental health.

Tip Number 2)

Floss, Floss and more Flossing, I know its a pain to have to do everyday but it is an important part of removing the bad bacteria from your mouth. Always floss before brushing your teeth not after, And if possible you should try to floss after every meal. This limits the bacteria building up between your teeth in hard to reach places. Remember people, Bad Bacteria buildup means Bad Odor.

Tip Number 3)

Clean your Tongue. Either use your toothbrush or if you feel inclined get a tongue scraper, they are available at almost any pharmacy or drugstore. Bad odor causing Bacteria live in the crevices of your tongue. This is a common mistake many people make, not properly cleaning and brushing their tongue, it only takes 30 seconds but it can eliminate much of the bacteria that causes bad odor.

Tip Number 4)

Chew gum. If you do not have time to brush or floss after a meal, and lets be realistic its not always possible especially sometimes when out with company. The next best thing you can do is chew a sugarless gum. And remember in order for maximum effectiveness it must be a sugarless one. What this does is it stimulates the saliva glands in your mouth and the saliva in turn helps to break down the bad bacteria in your mouth.

Tip Number 5)

Drink water. And drink plenty of it. Drinking water not only helps to clean out your mouth by washing away leftover food and bacteria, but it keeps your mouth from getting dry. A dry mouth is a bacteria filled one! Drinking water helps to stimulate saliva production, and the saliva in your mouth is your bodies main defense against bacteria. It breaks down the odorous sulphur compounds that build up in your mouth and cause you to have Bad breath.

Follow these tips and you wont have to worry about having bad breath. As simple as they seem they are the key to having a clean and healthy pleasant smelling and odor free mouth. Remember to visit your dentist, annual Dental Health cleanings and checkups are also key in maintaining a healthy mouth for life.
