Real Estate Sales In Second Life - - Making Millions In Real Life
88Make Real Money Selling Fake Real Estate
Can you actually make money selling something that isn't real? That's the idea behind the builders and realtors selling in a virtual world known as Second Life. The online virtual world is filled with properties that are only limited by the imagination. Some real, pardon the punn, realtors are turning to this business as a real way to make millions.
Realtors "Keepin it Real"
We've heard enough about the financial crisis. Appearantly this recession has not afflicted the virtual quite the same. In a virtual world where anything goes and you can buy virtually buy anything you want, some are cashing in on millions of real dollars in this unreal opportunity.
Realtors are taking the "real" out of the estate business. Usually known for keeping it real, at least real profitable, realtors have found a new way to make money without needing to have perfect teeth. They are now selling fake real estate in the virtual world known as Second Life.
In the recent downturn of real estate profits many realtors are staying busy with other marketable ideas. Some realtors refuse to get a real job. Take these items for example, and their new "real" estate business.
Real Estate is Real Expensive
Reality TV
A perfect example of realtors "keepin it real." People are glued to their televisions each evening watching reality tv shows. No one seems to like the fake shows any more. America is crying out "I don't want to watch the news, I want to watch reality shows." I'm still not sure what was so fake about t.v. before reality shows saved us all? Americans would rather watch a reality show about a news team than actually watch the news, I guess Americans really want the real thing.

Real Girls
Realtors had a great idea with this one. They came up with product called a real girl, but they trick you because they are actually fake girls. Check out
the real interesting story made into a movie about a guy named Lars who got a
"real" girl. Isn't it ironic, guys don't seem to mind so much about fake parts on real girls, nor do they mind fake parts on real girls. Did I just repeat myself?

Fake Estate
How To Buy Fake Real Estate
If you think you might want to invest in some virtual real estate, luckily you have some options. Historically, you would pay someone a monthly fee to allow you to live in their building for an agreed upon amount of time, usually a year. This is called renting an apartment. As fake as renting an apartment is, now you have an even better option.
You can pay and rent fake estate in a virtual world where you can't actually put any of your stuff. If you haven't heard of it, it's called Second Life. You can buy land and build; you can even buy your own island. The great thing is that you get to pay someone a monthly fee, so it still feels like real life. Hopefully they make sure to add illnesses, pollution, traffic, and criminals. I am sure the government will tax you in your virtual world eventually. Sorry teens, I guess you still don't get treated like an adult even when buying fake estate. "Note: If
you wish to buy a Private Region and you are a Teen Second Life
Resident, you may not use the Land Store. You must complete the Special Region Order process." The rules are pretty complicated, but I don't think buying fake estate is even close to as complicated as buying real estate.
- Now, social networking linked to brain damage
Oxford University neuroscientist Baroness Susan Greenfield has claimed that too many online acitivities can re-programme the brain, thereby causing abnormal behaviour. - Funny hub about TV killing Americans
My Serious Disclaimer to buying Real Estate in a Virtual World
The research is coming in linking brain damage to too much online activities. I need to add this disclaimer. Buying fake estate could give you brain damage. Apearantly online social activities can make people moody, and people with autism seem to like hanging out online.
I am sure the data is correlational, so it makes you wonder if the people who are already brain damages, moody, etc, choose to spend more time social networking, etc. T.V. is mentioned to be just as bad. Read the links for yourself. This is the end of my hub because I just had a mood swing due to being online too long. I am TOO ANGRY TO GO ON!

Blake, I think the title of this hub is a crack of genius! Why, I'm still chuckling! The whole fake state concept, though? Not so funny, a bit more on the delusional side to my taste, but then again, not to different from any other online shenanigans out there.
Eovery, I guess you buy fake estate with linden dollars which can be converted into real dollars, a lot like buying a hot dog at a festival with tickets it sounds like.
Elena, Glad you enjoyed it. This appears to be a very profitable online shenanigan.
Intriguing hub. I'm into the actual real real estate, the one that happens outside of the virtual world you discussed. While I'm not into such simulated activities, one could imagine reasons why someone would like to buy virtual real estate in such a world. It doesn't have the problems we have in this world.
onlinemarketing,
I guess there aren't any problems that you can't just get up from the computer desk and avoid huh? I am sure there will be debates as to whether there are social and ethical problems in the virtual world. Thanks for commenting.
