Step by Step Instructions
1. First rateintensity of problem from 0 to having no problem to 10 having an intense problem. So if your issue feels pretty bad it may be between 7 and 10. But let a number come up for you. Eg: close your eyes and say to yourself, “I bite my nails when I am nervous”, and ask yourself how strong that feeling is. Wait for a number to appear and go with it.
2. THE SETUP: Tap the sides of both your hands together (the karate chop) continuously whilst reciting the following 3 times:
Even though I ……(bite my nails when I am nervous)…………………………., I deeply and completely accept myself. (Fill in the dotted line with a true statement that is unique to you)
Tapping both of your hands together.
The Sequence
Tap about 7 times on each of the following energy points while repeating the Reminder Phrase at each point.
(The reminder phrase is a shortened version of step 2 e.g.: bite my nails when I am nervous)
1. Top of the Head (Crown)
2. Start of eyebrow
3. Outside of eye socket
4. Under eye socket
5. Under nose
6. Between mouth and chin
7. Just under thecollar bone
8. Under arm in line with chest
9. Directly below breast on the rib cage
10. Side of Hand again
When you have finished check what the intensity is now.
If your intensity is not zero repeat from the beginning at the “setup”, but this time add into the affirmation “still” or “remaining” Eg: Even though I still bite my nails when I am nervous
EFT Tapping Points
Helpful Tips
1. Make sure you check the intensity of your problem before starting the EFT and also check it after the session is finished. You need to get it to a zero before continuing or finishing.
2. Check several issues of why you might bite your nails. Eg: because I am bored, because I am anxious, because I am nervous. Try and find out exactly why you bite your nails and then do an EFT session on it.
3. Rub you cuticles ands just below your nails with some warm olive oil every day. It will stimulate the blood flow to your nails to help build healthy strong nails.
4. Tapping your nails on a table gently will also strengthen your nails.
5. If you have been biting your nails for a while you may find the nails split as they grow. This in itself might make it tempting for you to start biting them again. If this happens, do the EFT on that.

Thank you so much for this. I am Printing this out and definitely using it. I have been biting my nails and the surrounding skin for 23yrs and it'salways been at 9 intensity, especially if i was nervous,upset, bored or really concentrating. This is really helpful because my family and friends always make comments about how ugly my fingers are because i bite them. I just tried it and i don't have the urge to bite right now. I'm about to take a test for a class and i don't need to bite.Thanks so much
