Stop Mortgage Foreclosure

Finding a way to stop mortgage foreclosure comes down to a few basic things:

  1. Get educated about foreclosure. Every state has different rules that govern the foreclosure process for that state. Some states have an incredibly fast timeline and others work very slowly. Knowing what that timeline is will be critical for you in figuring how to stop mortgage foreclosure.
  2. Start talking to your bank. I don't care where you are in the foreclosure process, you need to find someone to talk to at your mortgage company and you need to find someone to talk to now. This will mean getting persistent to the point of annoying. If you really want to stop mortgage foreclosure, you will need to find someone at your bank who is willing to work with you. Don't give up.
  3. Get realistic about your finances. Take a good hard look at your income and expenses. What can you cut? Is going to the gym more important to you than saving your home? Is eating out more than once a week more important to you than saving your home? Really look at where your money is going and ask yourself what is most important to you. Finding ways to cut back on your expenses is a great way to stop mortgage foreclosure.

Finding a way to stop mortgage foreclosure is not easy but it is possible. It will take some dedication, persistence, education and honesty on your part. I was able to stop mortgage foreclosure on my own home through the information I described above. I know that you can do the same.
