Online shopping started to emerge around 1990. Due to the advances on the technology, people were given an option to buy what they want at their convenience. But online shopping has been a middle to high class commodity since it first arrive on the web.

Two years later, after Tim Berners-Lee creates the Internet, advances took place such as Online Banking, Then an online pizza shop by Pizza Hut opened.

In 1995, Amazon started up with online shopping, then followed by eBay in 1996. These developments marked the beginning of new trends on shopping.

Advantages

1. Increased Customization- enables the customers to be treated as individuals not as a whole consumer group
2. Convenience in Purchasing-buyers can now purchase anyhere, anytime to anyhow.
3. Cost Savings Through Lower Prices.
4. Able to Satify the Consumers' Needs.

Disadvantages

1. Issues on Security- sometimes buyers are subjected to online scam and crimes.
2. Poor Levels of Service.
3. Extra Costs on Shipment Fees.
4. Product delievered did not come up to the expectation.
