Storybook Forest and Idlewild Park

These 2 parks are combined for a great day with the family. And you can visit Mr. Rogers Neighborhood there also.

Some of the characters you will see in Storybook Forest

Walk through the entrance which is a doorway in the middle of a book to enter, and you are greeted by Mother Goose, dressed in a blue and white dress holding a stuffed goose. The nursery rhyme characters came alive. There is no better experience as a small child then to meet these characters in person. Mother Goose will tell you about her stuffed goose, Goldilocks tells you about the bears. The old lady in the show will talk to you about the children that live in the shoes. You learn that Little Red Riding Hood really did survive the big bad wolf.

The Good Ship Lollipop is a floating ship that when you get off the ship you are given a lollipop, Snow White will show you through her house where you can see the cottage of the seven dwarfs, and she will give you an apple sticker.

In the center of the pond you can see the three men in a tub floating. It's a great experience for kids of all ages.

You can go through Mr. Rogers Neighborhoods riding the life-size red trolley. While your in the land of Make-Believe, you can hear the characters speak. See King Friday the Xlll, or Harietta Pussycat, and The platypus Family

Creating memories has never been this fun.

  • Website update

    I am still working on the new website. Hopefully it will be easier to navigate then on Smugmug, where I have the photos hosted at now.It has taken me longer than usual to do the website, there are just so many photos in the collection, that each one needs captioned, and organized.
