Stranded On A Tropical Island
70Stranded on a Tropical Island
At this point in my life, I would love to be stranded on a tropical island. Being on an island, all by myself would definitely get rid of my depression and anxiety. I would absolutely love to be stranded on a tropical island.
The first thing I would do if stranded on a tropical island is to wander around the island, or islands, if there were more than one, and find out what was all available. I'd want to find groves of tropical fruit trees and i'd want to stake out the best fishing places. My intention would be to stay on this island for as long as possible.
After scoping out the island to see what it has to offer, I would then try to find the best area on one of the beaches and I would build myself a little hut out of twigs, grass and mud. I would then build an outdoor cooking area out of rocks that I could find on the shore of the beach.
The next task I would have is to find some food to eat. I would eat the fruits I would find and also I would eat the fish I would catch. I think a person could survive quite well on a fruit and fish diet. I would also try to find some different plants and roots that I could eat.
Because I am a writer, I would want to write. Somehow, someway I would have to find a way of writing. So, I hope that if I get stranded on a tropical island that I would be smart enough to have my netbook with me. This would not be a vacation for me as vacations usually involve contact with others. I wouldn't need to use the internet because I really would want no contact with the outside world but, I would have to write.
I think I could probably write a few novels while being stranded on a tropical island. There would be so much time to do whatever I wanted to do. The only thing I would have to do is fish and look for food but other than that the rest of the time would be mine. I think I could be quite productive on a tropical island.
In conclusion, I could have a great life being stranded on a tropical island. It would be a dream come true for me.

Eva, thank you for your comment. We all need our alone time.
In Agreement with you...to be on a deserted island sounds great...somewhere in the South Pacific...with an ideal climate everyday...would be more like a vacation! (don't know about the productive part!) Thatch roof, cool breeze, waves splashing, straw hammock...lots of cool coconut drinks, fresh fish, and crab...please! Two conditions: My wife would have to be stranded with me...and some kind of old radio where I could talk to my family/friends and give out the coordinates...if they want to drop by! But...I will be staying put!
Thank you for your comment, manlypoetryman.
