Planning a Strawberry Tea Party

Red, luscious strawberries are reason enough to celebrate. And what better way to celebrate this delectable fruit than by throwing a tea party in its honor. When strawberries are in season, you need no other reason to invite your friends over for a strawber-licious tea party. Go all out and create a menu that uses strawberries in everything- right from strawberry soup and strawberry bread to strawberry cake and strawberry tea. This versatile fruit lends itself to a whole variety of dishes, all of which are perfect for serving at a tea party.

Setting the Strawberry Mood

This is one fruit you can never have too much of- either by way of decoration or by way of food. Set the mood of your tea party with elegant strawberry themed tea-set. Alternatively, you could simple, white chinaware set upon tables covered with strawberry themed table cloths and napkins.

A large bowl of fresh strawberries placed in the center of the table creates the right mood and enhances the décor. As the party progresses and your guests have feasted their eyes on your magnificent centerpiece, bring out bowls of whipped cream, melted chocolate and brown sugar so that guests can now feast upon your delicious creation.

Planning a Strawberry tea-party Menu

Soup: Though soups are rarely served at tea parties, your guests will be delighted with a chilled, refreshing strawberry and burgundy soup.

Bread: Slices of delicious strawberry- tea bread arranged on a platter and served with cream cheese or whipped butter are just right for any tea party, especially a strawberry tea party.

Strawberry Shortcake: Rich and delicious tasting StrawberryShortcake is surprisingly easy to make. Impress your guests by bakingit yourself.

Strawberry Scones: Strawberry scones are a refreshing new twist to a traditional tea-party food. Or try plain scones with strawberry conserve and whipped cream.

Strawberry Cupcakes: Watch tiny bite-sized strawberry cupcakes melt away in everybody's mouth. Strawberry cupcakes are delicious and many cupcake recipes don't even require frosting, just a sprinkle of icing sugar.

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries: Bowls of strawberries accompanied by bowls of melted chocolates and whipped cream; mmm...It does not get better or easier than that! Watch your centre piece disappear right before your very eyes. Alternatively, you could dust cocoa powder lightly over the strawberries and serve with a dollop of cream.

Strawberry Tea: Top off your strawberry feast with this light, refreshingly fruity black tea.
