Smoothies and shakes make fast and easy snacks. they also taste great,low in far and can be stored in a thermos for people on the go.

Loaded with vitamins and minerals you should try this ice cold energy drink whenever you need an energy boost.

Preparation time : 5 minutes

Ingredients

 

 2 whole ripe bananas

 3 cups frozen strawberries (sliced)

 6 ounces fat free or low fat yogurt

 1 cup low fat cow's milk or soya milk


Proceedure

In a blender,combine the bananas,strawberries,yogurt and milk, add ice and blend until smooth.

Makes 2 servings

Per Serving : 268 calories, 11 grams protien, 57 grams carbohydrates, 1 gram fat, 2 milligrams cholesterol, 5 grams fiber and 137 milligrams sodium.

Tips : Any fruit can be substituted for the strawberries and for an extra boost of protien, try adding a scoop of soya powder or any powdered protien supplement.
