Awe. The Fragaria xananassa or strawberry. First bred in Europe during the early 18th century. The Fragaria is a cross between theFragaria Virginiana From North America and the Fragaria Chiloensis from Chile. The name Fragaria comes from "fragans", meaning odorous, referring to the perfumed flesh of the fruit. A single cup of Strawberries has approximately 45 calories ans is an excellent source of Vitamin C and flavonoids! Below are is a listing of sight containinq some of my favorite Strawberry recipes.
