Stress could cause your baby's allergies
60Do you live in inner cities with stressors like gun violence? Is your job forcing you to run around all day? Are you just inclined to stress out more often?
If you are pregnant, these stresses can be so harmful to your baby that they can lead to your child's allergies and asthma. According to a study by the Harvard Medical School that was featured on CNN of 300 mothers, the highest levels of stress were linked to greater chances of developing asthma and allergies, even when the mothers were not exposed to allergens.
In order to determine this, researchers looked at the umbilical cords of the mothers and checked levels of IgE, a chemical linked to allergies, in the blood. IgE is most evident in mothers with higher stress.
These findings rung true regardless of the mother's race or health history.
More research will be performed to investigate more into these findings.
In order to prevent dangerous stress, you should make sure to manage your diet, recognize mood swings, and take advantage of your support systems so you don't have to take care of everything yourself. Even taking a little walk or taking part in relaxing activities like yoga will help!

I'm shocked to be reminded that some people live in places where gun crime is so prevalent. I'm sure it is stressful enough being pregnant without people firing guns!
Thanks for the reality check - interesting hub.
