Structural Tension sounds rigid or even a bit tense. It truly is not, in fact it is the energy created for you to accomplish every desire you currently have not fulfilled. This mechanism is the fuel that drives us to accomplish and complete the steps before us.

For the Structural Tension to be utilized we must first have our Current Reality or Starting Place and our End Result or Vision very clear. These are the first two steps in The Creative Process.

There are two main actions that are needed for the Structural Tension to really take shape and be the Creative Force it is intended to be.

First our Current Reality. Where we are. Our present place we occupy. This can be physically, mentally or spiritually. For best results if all three are in harmony or agreement all the better. I always remind myself and others, it is where you are not hwo you are. Very Important to keep this in mind.

Second, we must have a clear definition of our End Result, Destination, Goal or Vision. This really hit home for me. I used to travel a lot. One thing I did not enjoy was when I would be given poor directions. It always seemed the more time crunched I was the worst the directions were.......NO FUN. When I moved to South East Texas I laughed the first time I was given directions and the person said "go down to the cherry tree on the corner of.......I dont know the name of the road, but look for the cherry tree and turn right and then go to the old gas station, its not a gas station any more, I really dont know what it is but..........

I believe that for many this is about as clear as our End Result, Destination or Vision may be. And you know what? Your mind is saying, give me some clarity and I will perform much better. The clearer we make our End Result and the better it is visualized and even internalized the greater our Structural Tension or Creative Force will flow.

The Creative Process is something we work with daily. It has been a part of our lives since we were children. It functioned for us even when we took our first steps. We began ( Current Reality, Starting Place) in our fathers arms and our mother was calling us to come to her ( End Result, Destiny or Goal.) We then felt the Structural Tension or energy well up in us and give us the determination to do something we had never done, take steps.

In The Creative Process these steps are called Action Steps. They are created by the Structural Tension when we truly realize where we are ( Current Reality) and where we desire to be ( End Result.) It is an incredibly simple but absolutely necessary step in our lives.
