Structured wiring is method by which a suitable method for laying the wire network in the home or in a large building of a company or a mall or any other. The point of this technique is to reduce the number of tangled wires in order to avoid future frustration and complications.

There are a number of methods adopted for structured wiring. Earlier the method used was to place the electric wires in a protective ceramic tube and then pass them through the holes made in the brick walls. The technique lost its importance as in some cases there is a chance of a short circuit causing fires and taking out new connections and maintenance can also not be done easily through the walls.
