Stuck in the Water ?

Where life can be so fragile
Not knowing if the next wave will take you with it....
If the fridget waters will be your last blanket....
As you pray...pray hard....and all your life passes in front of you
As quickly as it came....as the waves splash
Over the bow and soak you.....and you shiver and gasp
For the next breath before the next wave comes....
To once again wash away your sins...make you pure
It is so windy and cold as the boat rocks to and fro
Which direction are we going in...seems wrong
It is so difficult to know which way to turn around
Which path to follow now....why is it so hard to focus
I am so cold and then that next huge wave knocks me down
I catch my breath and hold on hold on tight as my breathing quickens
My hopes die...my love is trying to catch me..
I am reaching, reaching for His hand....but they are busy also
He is the captain..and is also wet and cold ..
But instead of his hands I manage to grab the antena pole
Once again I am feeling relieved...feeling safe..and hardly see the next wave
Before it comes..headed right at me...hold on..hold .. I think
This can't be all there is..it can't end this way...I Pray again
I am cold and shivering in my boots...
All of a sudden we see the way..we see the shore...the winds die down
And once again the sun is shining upon us....once again we are blessed
"I believe in God the Father Almighty , the creator of Heaven and Earth".
Were the only words I could muster up...all I could say at that moment..
I swore I would never get on board another fishing boat in my life.
But never say never.......Cause I did and we've had many,many
More experiences..some good...some not so good....some more bad..
