Stumbling Around with Stumble Upon
Stumbling around...
About two years ago I discovered the Stumble Upon tool. Actually, someone pointed it out to me. I discovered the web very early on, when all you got was a black screen on your computer. That was stumbling around!
Now that I am writing hub pages, I am hoping against hope that someone will Stumble Upon my pages. Time to check out Stumbling Around again,so I cruised over to their site.
What do you know? I am still a member. I updated my preferences and began to stumble around. The site lets you select your preferences so I made a few choices and pressed the little hand on my browser and away we went!
I found some pretty cool stuff.
Knitting patterns - knitting is coming back in in a big way, you know, now that we are once again a financially challenged nation. There were a lot of nice, conventional sites with very informational help for knitters. I also found a site where a rather foul mouthed girl tells you how to knit cute little kitties to play with. Evidently she and her friends made these kitties while drunk, but we didn't get to see that. One must keep an open mind while stumbling.
Next, I stumbled upon a site which analyzes your handwriting. Seriously. It then shows a hilarious movie of a fake doctor relaying the results. Very funny. I sent this to two of my relatives - I'm curious to see if he says the same thing about everybody.
Flip, flip, flip. A bunch of stuff that I didn't like.
Ah, a page showing how to create books for 4.95 each. Sounds like something I might use for the class reunion this summer. Bookmarked this one.
Wow, the next one was called "The Working Reporter" - a resource for reporters. Did you know that the day after the Italy earthquake, a slightly stronger one hit Kuril, in Russia? Me neither. You see, there's a lot they don't share.
Moving right along - ah, perfect! Crochet and Knit 911! Now maybe I can get the heel on that pair of socks I started. My cousin coached me while she was visiting, but she went home and left me in the lurch.
I found bengal-cat.net. Bengal cats have the MOST bizarre markings - I can't describe them. You'll just have to go look yourself. You'll love 'em, unless of course you hate cats. Gave that a thumbs up.
Wow! Freakingnews.com - very funny altered pics. Photoshop artists fool around with the news. If you can't take a joke, don't go there.
Speaking of which, I really dig fooling around with Photoshop but I'm not too good at it so this site I found called Six Revisions which features a number of tutorials is a definite bookmark.
Well, guess I've wasted enough time for one afternoon, but you never know what you might stumble upon, do you?

Diane, interesting hub. I joined StumbleUpon a while back, but so far I have not really gotten the hang of it.
