There have been two fairly recent developments that are helping mankind move forward into a new era of knowledge and education. These two things are the video camera and the video sites available on the internet where anybody can upload interesting, or not interesting, videos of themselves, their family and their pets or anything else they want to show the world.

We live in a cultue that seems to celebrate celebrity and one where everyone wants to be famous even if that fame is only temporary. In their efforts to become famous people are prepared to do the most remarkable things. Anything, it seems, that will get them noticed.

Here I will help them achieve their objective of a moment of fame but I wouldn't say they are doing things to admire. In many cases I would say they are stupid to even attempt these crazy stunts but it makes fascinating watching as people put their health and even their lives at risk all in an attempt to become famous.

Perhaps this is evolution at work and the fittest will survive but goodness only knows what mad things they will try to do to get their next five minutes of fame.

DO NOT TRY THESE STUNTS AT HOME. They could easily injure you and possibly even kill you in some cases.

First we have a young guy who will surely regret this stupid stunt in years to come when his hearing deteriorates when he gets older, if it hasn't already had that effect.

If you plan on doing stunts that involve jumping your motorcycle through the air make sure your landing area is clear or even better, stay at home and watch tv.

You can just imagine the scenario. You had a great party and drunk rather too much. In the early hours of the morning your friends wake up and see you completely out of it.

Why not hitch your chair up to a giant rubber band and catapult you into the pool to wake you up? This is why not.

We all know that exercise is good for us, right? So why not speed up the process and set your treadmill on top speed and then jump on for some high speed entertainment.

We have all looked at a stop sign and wondered if it really can stop you haven't we? This young fella obviously doubted the idea so he put it to the test and yes now we know, stop signs will stop you if you run head first into one.
