Submergence

Sometimes, when kissing, the world wicks away in giggling fragments. And the Universe drops in your mouth like tangy, violent candy.

Fingers skitter through my flesh, my mind, separating want from need, dancing on the edges of longing, gathering me into small soft mounds.

Unknown beings drip through my brain like confetti confusing a rainbow...pooling to my brainstem in a quiet gray mass.

I pluck the colors out.

And the moon wanes... banishing fear, stale habits, tired grievances. I shed this old, unwanted skin. Stretch my new self in the cold sunshine, under a warm blue sky; a shadowed forest glows with laughter.

Unfetter. Release. *whispers the words you most need to hear*

And the tide swells past, diffusing me in salty tendrils, pulling me down, into pure… glittering… silence.

The moment expressed on a cosmic scale and brought back to earth. This could be a bursting star, or a bursting nerve center at the peak of bliss. I love it.

Kelsey,

No problem. Will do! The only thing touchin' my lips is a can of Tilt, gud fud, and maybe one of my rodent kid's tongue as I bend down to kiss them. Those buggers grab on so quick...AUGH!
