Many people like to create blog and create website but only few gets good traffic to their blog. There can be lot of reasons behind it -

1)They wait until their web-page get indexed automatically

2)They don't know how to submit their site-map to search engines

3)They lacks promoting their website at good ranked websites.

4)They do not know much about SEO skills.

It is really hard for any newcomer to get its website or blog indexed. For these they must submit site-map of their website directly to search engines. If you are running blogger account then it is easy for you to submit your site-map as it is by default present in your blogger account whose address can be made by appending any of these in the end-

/atom.xml

/rss.xml

/atom.xml?orderby=updated

/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=100

/feeds/posts/full

You can submit your blogger account at google web-master tools with just entering any of these above words that means you do not need to write full address of your site-map. But first you need to submit your blogger and get it verified using meta tag. For this you need to edit your template. Don't worry you can also revert back changes you made. For knowing more about it read full article with step by step guide.
If you are running your custom website then you need to create its site-map and upload at your site using FTP up-loader. Once you uploaded site-map to your website then you can submit its address to as many as search engines. You will then see that your website is got indexed and you can also search your article with keywords at search engines. This is how you can attract more traffic to your blog instead of waiting for google to crawl your website. Truly speaking there are around 50% websites who do not get chance to crawl and get their site indexed because of lack of information to many.

If you do not know how to use SEO skills then it is not a big deal in the starting. Main think about SEO is your content should be proper with no grammatical errors and it should be enriched with keywords. You can promote your website by submitting articles containing full paragraph about your website to article submission websites.

Regarding microsoft search engine submission i.e bing, you can submit your url here at http://www.bing.com/docs/submit.aspx and regarding yahoo search engine submission you can submit here at https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit . Both bing and yahoo doesn't need blog account verification. For fast processing you can also submit feeds of your url at yahoo. Thanks and God bless

Strategy adopted by me :

  • I waited for search engines crawling
  • I have submitted my site to various advertising websites and search engines
  • Other manual resources like social participation, article submission etc.

Well, I am one of the really dumb ones. But you seem to have it altogether and gave a lot of info. Perhaps I can grab a tiny bit sometime and use it well? Thank you!
