Why You Need To Get Your Site Into Google

Getting your site into Google is one of the most effective methods out there for getting traffic. Yes, there are other methods that can bring you more overall traffic, but Google can bring you some of the best, targeted traffic out there. People that are able to bring targeted visitors from Google usually do really well with their online businesses.

Submitting To Google Does Basically Nothing

A few weeks ago I wrote on one of my blogs about why you should not submit your website to Google. The reasoning behind this is simple - there's no point whatsoever. Even though you'll eventually get in by submitting, it will take forever. The last time I tested it out it took like a month to get in.

Even though you eventually get into Google if you submit, it doesn't mean that you're going to be able to get ranked well. If you want to rank well in Google you're going to have to learn some SEO and master the art of getting other sites to link to you. Again, this has nothing to do with submitting so it's a downright waste of time. Even if you do get in, you don't get any traffic.

The reason you will never get any traffic by just submitting is because of the system that Google uses to rank sites. They basically count up the strength and number of links that are pointing at your site. If you don't have any links pointing at your site, you won't rank well in Google. The solution to this issue is getting more people to link to your site. This can happen in a variety of different ways including through asking, trading, writing articles, and through getting into the media. The more you're able to get onto these sites, the more traffic you'll be able to get.

What You Should Instead of Submitting To Google

The best thing to do instead of submitting your site to Google is simply getting links for your site. Once some sites are linking to yours, Google will find your site and include it in their search results.

The links from other sites will help Google to see that your site is important, and will help it to rank a lot better in Google. That will bring you more traffic and that will of course lead to additional income for you.

Nice Hub Court. I am still a newbie webmaster and still learning on SEO and etc. I had submitted my new website to google for indexing then later on stumbled upon this hub and TKA about submitting your site to goolge and etc. Hehehe...yeah, it took more than a week for google to finally send the robots and indexed my site. I really appreciate the good and solid info that you and mark are providing at TKA. Thanks.

Yes, I do agree with you. I recently read the related article in 'the keyword academy' also. I submitted my blog to google and that was the big mistake I committed. It took 50 days to get indexed.

Now I am aware of these things.

Thanks..
