Before I get into the specific subtopics of this.. let me start by saying that in order for someone in this business to truly consider someone else to be a legitimate prospect, you must first qualify that person.

Most people try to immediately assume that everyone has a need for our supposed solution and that may not be the case, so why waste your time and theirs..

And if you get a better feel for another persons situation then you'll have a better idea of how to handle things and what to say to them beforehand.

The bottom-line is if you're ONLY talking to people that need or want your product or service, it certainly becomes less stressful.

Here's three things you'll want to discover before talking to anyone about your business or solution:

  • Is there a problem to be solved ?
  • Do they have a need and desire to change ?
  • Do you actually have a good solution for them ?

OK so now our main objective is to search for people that have the possibility of fitting the criteria for our product or business. The best way is online, from home using the internet. So spend time looking over peoples profiles on social networking sites.

As you find them just send out friend requests. Once they accept you will begin striking up friendly conversations and then slowly start asking targeted questions that will possibly reveal to us where they currently stand.

The rule of thumb the whole time you are going through this research process is to remember that "it's all about THEM"

You will want to base your questions and concerns on the criteria below:

  • In a nutshell, who are they ?
  • What's important to them ?
  • What do they want in life ?
  • Why do they want it ?
  • What don't they want ?
  • What are their current problems ?
  • Do they sincerely want to change their situation ?
  • Are they ready to make a change ?
  • Are they open to hearing what you have to offer ?

OK the questions above are somewhat general so I'll provide you with more specific ones that will cut your time spent on discovery down to a minimum.

Once you have the answers to these questions, you'll know whether talking about your solution is even in the cards for a particular person.

The bottom-line is conversion rate.. we want to talk to less people and enroll more of them. Here's the questions:

  • What do you currently do for a living ?
  • What does that entail ?
  • How long have you been doing that ?
  • How do you like what you're doing ?
  • How are you being affected by what's going on with our economy ?
  • What did you do before you did that ?
  • Have you ever thought about doing anything else ?
  • Are you familiar with the network marketing industry ? (or) Are you open to checking out other possibilities ?

The net result in this method is that people will likely persuade themselves.

We're just looking to see if there's an opportunity to solve peoples problems.

So as these people answer the questions, they'll actually be internally processing all the information about themselves as they're talking with you.

And their answers will remind them about their current situation and how they want to change it for the better.

Now there is a shortcut method to all of this but it requires you to talk to more people to get similar results, so I'm going to skip that for now..

If you start implementing the strategy above, you'll soon see dramatic results if you've been failing to enroll people into your business.
