I am very proud to say that I have an artist in my family; not only that but she is an award winning one!

Sue Cook is my sister-in-law and lives in Oxfordshire, England with her husband Gary (my borhter) and their two young children Maddy and James. Sue is a self taught artist with no professional training, but has the ability to produce some very good art work.

I am not an art expert, but to my untrained eye Sue produces some decent work, and to prove my point she was a voted 1st prize winner in an International Art competition for her stunning flower paintings. The competition was hosted at www.myartspace.com by the CatMacArt Corporation in the United States.

Below is just a small sample of her work - she mostly paints flowers but has recently taken to painting shoes:

My Favorite

My favorite painting of hers is All you need is love; the starkness of the painting, with it's greys and shades of greys really brings it home to me the hardships some people have to go through in this life. It's the kind of painting that cries out with a message.
