Here are some basic facts about sugar gliders, just so you know in the future.
◊ Sugar gliders are originaly from Australia or Indonesia
◊ Gliders are marsupials.
◊ These animals are nocturnal.
◊ They eat sap and gum from various eucalyptus and insects
◊ They mate 3 times a year
◊ Gestation 16 days
◊ The babies spend 10 weeks in the pouch
◊ Gliders usually have 2 to 1 babies. 3 babies is rare, but possible.
◊ They live 5 to 7 years in the wild. In captivity they live 10 to 15 years.
◊ Baby gliders are called joeys, all baby marsupials are called joeys.
◊ Males have a bald spot on their head and chest when mature.
◊ Their scientific name is Petarus Breviceps which means fingery one.

They have the sweetest eyes..I have had 3 rats before and they were so loving..I took them everywhere...they would hide under my hair. I even built a carrying case so they could travel with me...Have had rabbits, chickens, dogs, and cats. birds and my own kids Ha ha ...Fun fun fun G-Ma :o) hugs
