Burberry Summer for Her
65
Ever wonder how is it like to spend summer in Europe?
The fragrance house of Burberry came up with a floral-fruity perfume reminiscent of the summer days in England. Burberry Summer Perfume is a British-style floral-fruity fragrance inspired by the original Burberry scent. It’s teeming with freshness that features red currant, mandarin and lychee at the top; freesia, jasmine, rose and cyclamen at the middle; and musk, white cedar and sandalwood at the base. The fusion of all these fruits and florals create a delightful scent that lets you enjoy how summers should be like. Burberry Summer mimics the characteristics of summer. It’s bright, gentle, puerile and modern.
Each year, the house of Burberry introduces a limited edition of Burberry Summer. So expect a different version every time. It still holds the basic accords of the original perfume. You can say that it’s Burberry with a twist of summer flavor.
I’ve purchased the 2009 version and I can say that it’s indeed a perfect summer/spring scent. Not only it’s light, it has a good sillage, too. On my skin, it lasts for about five hours with a few a spritzes on the major pulse points. The amount of floral-fruitiness is moderate. It’s neither imposing nor too sweet a perfume.
Burberry’s attempt at formulating summer fragrances is well-received by perfume fans. Burberry Summer is not a super stunning perfume to begin with but it has that distinct character that lets you melt away with the fragrance. I wouldn’t regard it as an average perfume either. Let’s just say, it’s a comfortable scent. Something you wouldn’t mind wearing everyday regardless of the mood you are in.

Burberry Summer Perfume sounds like the perfect fragrance to usher in the mood for summer. Floral/fruity and light--a great perfume to try this summer, for sure.
