In Genesis, you won’t find Adam’s first wife Lilith mentioned. The name Lilith is only mentioned once in the Torah, and once in the Holy Bible (Isaiah 34:14).

“Liliu [Lilith] nobles will have nothing there to be called a kingdom, all her princes will vanish away. 13.¦Thorns will overrun her citadels, nettles and brambles her strongholds. She will become a haunt for jackals, a home for owls. 14.¦Desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and wild goats will bleat to each other; there the night creatures will also repose and find for themselves places of rest.”

Now here is it's translation written in the St. Joseph New American Bible;

Isaiah 34:14-15 “On Zion sinners are in dread, trembling grips the impious”: 14.”Who of us can live with the consuming fire? Who can live with the everlasting flames? 15.He who practices virtue and speaks honestly, those who spurns what is gained by oppression. Brushing his hands free of contact with a bribe, stopping his ears lest he hear of bloodshed.”

The Lilith story is unlike any religious folklore you have heard before. Lilith was supposedly made in God’s image. Unlike Eve, Adam’s second wife, she wasn’t made from parts and pieces of Adam. She was created as an equal to Adam. Adam was lonely in the Garden of Eden, and so he asked God for a companion. Soon after God granted Adam his wish, and Liliu (Lilith, named by God) was given life. By the grace of God, he gave Lilith free will to reign in Eden. After all, she was created from the same rocky, dust, and earth that Adam had been made in. Some Adam and Lilith folklore even tells us how they freely ate from the Tree of Knowledge.

Adam and Lilith often fought bitterly. Adam desired to have relations with Lilith. However, Lilith would not make love with Adam. Adam was very persistent, and demanded that she’d be on bottom during intercourse. Nevertheless, being Adam’s equal counterpart, Lilith refused to do so. You might say that she was a fierce Feminist. Adam became angry with God. He was angry with him for creating a woman equal to him. He thought; God should have given him a companion created from HIS likeness. So Adam became angry with God, for not making Lilith a lesser equal, and beholden to both Adam and God. God decided to punish Lilith for her disobediences towards Adam. He punished by forbidding her, and any of her offspring from eating from the Tree of Knowledge. Now, only Adam is allowed to eat from this sacred tree.

In time, resentment slowly grew into loathing, passionate hate. Then the day came when Lilith could not contain herself any longer, and she began to eat from the tree she had long been accustom to eating. Its fruits of knowledge were an infectious drug to her. Being denied the right to eat from its fruit for so long; only turned what affection Lilith felt for Adam, into a raging hatred. It is then said, that before God had a chance to punish her, she escaped from of the Garden Eden. Lilith was now free to roam the countryside, as a fallen angel might. However, this foreign world felt cold and bitter, so Lilith began to sleep amongst men at night.

Upon hearing, that God had granted Adam a new wife, Lilith grew scared of the offspring between him and Eve. By this hour, Lilith’s beauty had morphed into that of winged demon, ravished by too many years of hate. Upon hearing, that God had granted Adam a new wife, Lilith began to loath children. Fearing that of Adam and Eve’s possible offspring- Lilith began to curse, and eat innocent children. In fact, it is because of this first Creation tale; women were cursed with a monthly bloodletting. It was called the Lilith curse. A curse brought forth by the power of God, to remind us of his wrath. Some, still believe that Lilith roams the world, seducing men to breed. It is also widely believed that illnesses such as crib death, is in fact an affliction caused by Lilith. I’d like to know what you think? More importantly though why were stories like these banned from us for viewing? If more Christians new of this origin, then the Creation story wouldn’t be so burdened by discrepancies. In the original Creation story, men and women had already begun to evolve. It was widely thought for God’s own amusement, Adam and Lilith were created. They were to be his special prodigies. Nevertheless, the creation of man happened long before them. God even blessed Adam with greater powers than that of Gabriel, Michael, and other Archangels. In fact, God ordered them to serve Adam, because God created him in his likeliness. Therefore, today’s bible creation story is full of unknown riddles, and plot holes through out the story. Could it have been that the Catholic Church and that of the ruler Constantine did not want women thought of as equals in the eyes of God? We must remember that these first Christian leaders had converted from Pagan religions, and with that, a lot of their customs came into the mix. Like their customs pertaining to women.

Quite interesting...If only the world was cognizant of the big picture...Much would be different... It would be harder to lie and sell tales of temptation; but then politics and religions would have to find a new home...

I am left wondering were you got your version on the Lilith story. I have been researching her lately, but this is the first count i have come across that states adam and lilith were able to eat from the Tree of Knowledge. I have also read that Lilith left Eden, not that she was bannished. I'm just curious to know your sources, plz let me know i'm very interested to learn as much as i can about Lilith

I gotta say you have a great sense of humour and even crazier is that folk seem to accept what you have written as fact! Amazing.... you've got me laughing (not at you but with you) for you are one strange human!

Isaiah 34:14 (King James Version)

14The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest.

Guess no one else wanted to check that out!
