Sunday Lunch

I have to admit it I am a foodie, I love to try new restaurants and new flavours, and since moving to Andalucia, the strip across the south of Spain from Portugal in the west to the Costa Del Sol on the Mediterranean sea on the east, I have enjoyed many fine meals.

Being an English ex-pat I still love a traditional roast beef Sunday lunch, and I am please to report that I have found a very good one at "Las Vertientes" midway between Baza and Velez Rubio on the A92n

The 3 course meal was superb, with this week a choice of 3 starters

a home made leek and potato soup

prawn (shrimp) cocktail

asparagus spears wrapped in salmon or Serrano ham

Then a choice of 4 main courses including a vegetarian option

Roast Beef

Roast Lamb

Roast Chicken with a sage and onion stuffing

and finally

Home made apple pie

Sticky toffee pudding

Strawberry tarts with Mascarpone Cream

It was delicious, and I recommend it to any visitor to that part of Spain.

you can contact the Restaurant at 0034 958 738180 or mobile 666600231
