Sunset
I’m not sure how this all will end, but I do know that I’ve enough supplies to last for the duration of my life, if need be. The local flora and fauna are edible and in abundance. The climate is moderate, never getting above eighty or below fifty degrees Fahrenheit. The rainy season is mercifully short, lasting two months. The rest of the ten-month year is graced with only sporadic periods of precipitation. I am alone here. The fact that I am still alive is a miracle in and of itself, but it is an existence of complete isolation.
The two suns look absolutely beautiful as they sink over the ocean’s horizon. The beach I have fabricated my new dwelling upon is pristine. The waves gently lapping on the shore is nothing short of breathtaking. I half expect to hear the whooshing of hovercars or transports in the skies overhead. The person who coined the phrase ‘the silence is deafening’ must have been in the same exquisite state of near-insanity as I. There are indigenous avians not unlike the seagulls of my native Maine. Lobsters, on the other hand, are, sadly, nowhere to be found. No matter, I have nothing that resembles butter anyhow. What I wouldn’t give to have an ice cold Corona right now. Ah, yes, alas: no limes to be had either.
Oddly enough, I possess enough writing materials for my eternal visit to this paradise. ‘Is this Heaven?’ I recall myself thinking soon after my arrival. Nah, I think there would have been at least one woman here, no? No dogs or cats(shudder) or any other cute, fluffy something or other. My asthma seems to have left me, as well as my chronic back pains. There’s a plus. I don’t get hungry as often as I used to either. What’s it been, two, three days since last I ate? That can’t be right.
The aquatic life here sure is tasty; very pungent, but, actually quite good. I could do worse, I’m sure. Let’s see, enough combustibles to ensure a fire every night of my insufferable continuation. I’m not really sure raw anything is a great idea. Yep. Check.
The suns do not seem to have any adverse effects on my skin. Well, that’s good, I guess. Oh, a beer would be good right now. Am I repeating myself? Oi.
Strange that I haven’t asked until this very moment how the Hell I actually got here. Quite honestly, I don’t know. Hmm, okay, let’s see…Um, ..wait!..no…lost it. Damn!
Huh? I don’t remember a third sun? Could be the reflection on the ocean. Yeah, that’s it.
Whoa! Is that a ship!? Oh, come on! Three suns I was just getting used to, but, a ship? Now, I know I’m going insane. Clean up on aisle six. Attention K-Mart shoppers: Marty Voorhees’ brain has just left the building. I’ll bet if I think real hard I’ll find a couple of Coronas in a bucket with lime wedges in them.
Uh huh. Yep. There they are. Well, I’m thirsty anyhow. Why not? I suppose it wouldn’t be asking too much to get one of those yummy lobster rolls from Red’s? Oh, sure. Ummm, tasty though. So, this IS Heaven. Man, this is SO good. Hey! That ship looks familiar!
Oh, for Pete’s sake! The Pacific Princess?! Are you serious?! Looooove, exciting and new…ha, ha, ha, this is redonkulous! Time to wake up, Marty! Marty? Marty!
“Oh, boy. Um, what happened?”
“Looks like you passed out after you hit your head on the railing there. Are you okay now? The passengers are starting to come aboard.”
“Aye, Captain Stubing. Fit and ready for duty, sir!”

I am glad someone on that forum- do we plan our lives before we are born is with me and or the guy who created the question. I mean I have believed this way so long and so completely- when I hear that the fetus does not develop until whatever- so the brain is not ready until- whatever- I mean these people are missing the point and why are they even on a forum like that anyway. Anyway!!! Cool writing- seems like it is on the edge- sci-fi. I Enjoy it. Good Luck!!1
