Super Fast Beef Stew and Biscuits for Busy People
62This hot meal can be on the table in less than 20 minutes
I love this recipe. It's so easy, inexpensive and always tastes great. It's one of my "comfort food" recipes that I came up with on a cold, wintery night.
Ingredients: 1 or 2 cans of prepared beef stew (use two if you have more folks to feed), one can of refrigerated biscuits, the kind that "pops" open when you peel the paper back.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a large oven safe dish, pour in the beef stew. Place the canned biscuits on top, sides touching and bake according to the biscuit directions, about 12 minutes, I think.
You can add in a side of green beans or peas, too. Just put a can of veggies in a dish and put it in the oven with the beef stew. Add a few minutes to the overall cook time.
It's a lot of fun to experiment with readily available and prepackaged foods. Often, I think they're too bland by themselves. The challenge, for me at least, is cooking meals that taste great on a limited budget. You can only eat so many Ramen noodles, after all.
