THE SUPER HERO BIRTHDAY CAKE

This is a fun cake idea and can be adjusted to YOUR creativity.

It does take time to make and cannot be thrown together at the

last minute. This is something that is fun to create by yourself or

as a family.

Stage 1. Bake 6-8 9x11 cake sheets. Place icing between each

layer as you stack them. (Be sure to allow cakes to cool completely

before stacking. Cake is easier to work with if you freeze all layers before stacking.) If one corner for some reason tends to sag a bit I like

to use thin mints to boost it back into place. Just slip the thin mints

between the cake layers in that area.

Stage 2. Coat entire cake with grey icing.

Stage 3. Using a butter knife or end of a spoon handle for children,

begin carving into the icing to create a brick look on all four sides.

Stage 4. Using light blue gum stick you can add windows. Use

scissors to be creative in your designs. Outline your windows in icing

or black licorice.

Stage 5. Andee's candy works great for the doors and thin mints work

well for the rounded front steps.

Stage 6.Crush Oreo Cookies and coat the roof of the building.

Stage 7.Place your choice of action figures on top or a bat light.

Another little idea, string spider-man from the ceiling over the cake.

*Birthdays are what you make of them. Don't stress out over the

preparation, you won't be able to enjoy your work with everyone else.

Take your time and don't wait until the last minute. Pay attention to

what your child is interested in and surprise them with an awesome

cake and you're sure to be ONE SWEET MOTHER!
