Sam and Dean Winchester

What to Expect for Season 5

Last May, Sam (Jared Padalecki) made Hell pop the party favors when he killed Lillith, the demon-bitch from hell, with a little help from the Angels in order to release Lucifer himself and bring the famed Apocalypse to earth.  In other words, God has left the building.

Only creator Eric Kripke can make the Angels look bad and make us feel sympathetic towards Lucifer, (Mark Pellegrino, who we last saw as Lost's elusive and mysterious Jacob) as Season 5 kicks off on September 10th on the CW.  Recently at Comic-Con the creator and producers were there to talk a bit more about the new season and what to expect.

According to Mr. Kripke, Lucifer will be acting like a wounded child that his parents abandoned, and will throw the mother of all temper tantrums on humanity.  And the Angels will keep the pressure on Dean to defeat Lucifer.  But that may not be so easy with Sam's guilt over letting himself get suckered into killing Lillith and bringing the Devil back to Georgia so to speak, and the fact that he has alot of repairing to do with his relationship with Dean.  Castiel (played by Misha Collins) died in the season finale, but apparently he will be back somehow since they have made him a series regular, as will Bobby (Jim Beaver).  And Sam's old flame, Jessica (Adrianne Palicki) will also return.  Not sure how or why, but it might spell trouble for the Winchester brothers.

The demons are going to have a party on earth and its up to Sam and Dean to bring the party to a halt.  We'll see if they can pull it off and still stay dang sexy!
