Surf fishing is a common type of fishing style that many people love to do. Usually surf fishing can be done in the southern parts of the United States. A very popular state for surf fishing is Florida.

You can try surf fishing on many of the beaches that there is for you to go to in Florida. All you have to do is make sure that you go somewhere that is secluded so that you will not be causing any problems with the people who are swimming at the beaches.

Just make sure that the area that you are fishing in is empty, so that nobody will get hurt. Just use your common sense and you should be perfectly fine.

This page is going to be about how to select the best type of surf fishing tackle. If you are interested in improving your fishing game, then you have come to the right place. Surf fishing is a style of fishing that you are going to need to know what you are doing in order to succeed at it.

Surf Fishing Tackle Selection

The pros know that the best way to go about fishing is to find out what works and get rid of anything that does not. This can also be said about lure selection as well. If you want to be the best fisherman that you can be, you will need to see what works best and what does not work as well.

This means that you are probably going to need to do a lot of experimenting. In order to see what works best you need to test all kinds of lures to see what one will perform the best for you. Fish react differently to lures on almost every given day, so this is something that you will need to do quite often if you want to be good at surf fishing.

What Bait Works Best?

In order to get started with your experimenting you need to be pointed in the right direction. I have found that in most fishing styles live bait seems to work the best hands down. Artificial fishing bait can still work but if you have the option to use live bait go for it.

Live bait can be purchased from fishing stores or you can simply catch it the day before you decide to go fishing. If you are not sure on what to use it might be best just to purchase it from the store in order to save yourself the hassle.

When it comes to artificial bait selection your common lures are the best place to start. Jig heads, spoons, and swimmers are all good places to start.

Start with these first and then decide where to go from there.

The pros know that every day is going to be different and then you can never be for sure what lure is going to work. With some practice though you can increase your chances and get better at predicting what types of lures will work best for surf fishing.

This is a skill that all pro fishermen need to learn no matter who you are.
