The Best Surfboard Racks

Surfing has become more than just a hobby to me, it has become an obsession. I find nothing is more rewarding than catching that perfect wave after patiently waiting. I find myself thinking about it more and more these days, especially when i should be working. However, one thing that I had trouble with, other than choosing the right surfboard, was trying to decided on the best surfboard racks for my car.

As you may know, there are two main types of surfboard racks you can purchase. The hard rack, which i would definitely recommend if you have a pre-installed rack on your vehicle, and the soft rack. Currently, I am a huge soft rack fan. The price of the soft racks are much cheaper and get the job done just as well. Not only can you use the rack on a array of different types of vehicles, but they take little effort to take off and on. I know this was my biggest concern when trying to decide on a soft rack. The faster and easier it is to install and remove the more time i could spend in the water.

Out of all the racks i have seen and tried, I think the block single is a great rack for the price. Just a simple toss over your car and slide in your board and you are off to hit the waves. Remember the best racks are not only the ones that keep your board in place while traveling, but the easiest to use.

Comments on the best soft or hard racks?? I find the block surf single works well for the use of 1 -3 boards and is so far the simplest and lightest soft rack i have used.
