The Imagination is a special God given gift, I believe. 

In the physical body, human beings can do many things. Just imagine

how much more we can do inside the imagination.

The possibilities are endless. The journey is timeless. From Eden 

to space, there are no boundaries within the imaginings of the mortal

mind. Herein, lies possibly our greatest power. The ability to think

and imagine is a precursor to the ability to create. What a powerful

aspect of these otherwise frail mortal bodies! The imagination could

be the hidden key to immortality!

On this hub and its subsequent pages in the series "Surfing the Imagination",

I want to explore the imaginings of the human mind from since before time

began and travel to the endless bounds of space, time and eternity. Who knows 

where this journey will lead?

Ever since I can recall, I have been captivated by ancient civilizations. Ghost like apparitions of entire cities or nations seem to hold a place in the past for these often regal civilizations. The ruins remain to remind those who would follow the inhabitants on their walk through time. It is all so captivating and mysterious.

Imagine living in a time and place other than where you are now. It is culture shock enough just to visit another country. Traveling to another place in another time is an adventure that has captured thousands of peoples throughout time.

Some of the civilizations that come to mind when I think of ancient are places like the following:

Ancient Rome where the colosseum pictured above can be found standing in ruins like a giant tomb for all the spirits who lived in its time.

The Mayan civilization that remains prominent in the minds of many a new ager who follow the Mayan calendar or who read the Mayan blueprints for birth signs. I had a reading done once and learned that I am an electric world bridger. The description for this type fits me perfectly, so there is some form of accurate calculations that determines such things. Therein lies a mystery in itself.

The Anasazi civilation which virtually vanished with merely traces has held the intrigue of mankind for thousands of years. Somewhere in New Mexico ancient ruins of this grand civilization can be found among the desert dwellers who live a primitive life on the mesas.
