Help I don't understand and the list keeps growing. At heart I am an optimist, a dreamer and believe in the power within each one of us. I also believe that we as a country > a world can do anything we set our minds to. Today we are a world in crisis. In crisis we can do amazing things so what is happening to our leaders crying out for change but doing the same thing. Stating the only way out of our economic situation is to spend more money on crazy pork projects when our schools can't even stay open. HELP me > I don't get it..

Why are we putting our country (America) in more debt? True we do need money to boost our economy (stimulus) but stimulating more pork > bigger government, along with giving billions to ceos to reward themselves millions for failing ? Is that the change we voted for?

The math says we cannot pay off this debt we currently have. Every person (man, woman, and child) in the US is now in debt for $40,000. If we were to suspend the interest on this principal (ha!), and decided as a nation to pay off the debt in the next year… everyone would have to work for free (including every child being born for the next 12 months, or conversely, someone would have to pay $80,000 to take up the slack for the missing contribution). Since this is an impossibility, then the next logical conclusion would be to structure a payoff schedule. We can’t do this either because the interest is accruing at a faster rate than we can pay it off since we’re really not servicing any of it (4% interest on $40,000 loan means that we will accrue $1600 per person over next 12 months; next year, we will owe $41,600/person). Time-compounded interest makes it impossible to repay the debts, statistically speaking. Therefore, this tells me that we are past the point of any rationale financing, structured or otherwise.

How this ends > might go something like this we disavow some debts > write off what we can, and salvage the debts we can. Even though I am for supporting our president and cabinet, Giethner and Obama will hasten the destruction of our capital markets (i.e. when full faith and credit of our solvency no longer exists).

I thought I'd never say this but the conspiracy theorists are starting to look smarter than the leaders who are sinking our boat.

HOW ARE WE TO SURVIVE THIS NEW WORLD OF OURS?

A new think is coming and maybe upon us. There are no borders and all can participate. It's not just for the educated or the elite > it's not just for the young or old > it's not just for the left or right > gay or straight, or religious > the critical mass is coming together in mind and spirit > ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and more people like Ron Paul will be stepping forward > out of the box (cage.). We the people are waking up > SPEAKING OUT > our public servants are burning down our house and we've had enough.

Our leaders are voting on the most important bills without knowing what it is. They are rushed and kept in the dark. Has everything gone mad with our leaders?
