55Delicious Sweet Potato Crisp
Calling myself a good cook would be a big lie! I barely function in the kitchen so do my very best to avoid that part of our house. It's the "off limits room. " We were celebrating a holiday with friends and below is the recipe for one of the side dishes made and served at the party. It's excellent.
This is just wonderful & simple to make. Why wait for the holidays? This can be served all year.
2-24 oz. cans sweet potatoes, drained
1 1/2 C sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs
2/3 stick melted butter
1 C milk
2 tep. vanilla
Topping: 1 C brown sugar,2/3 c chopped pecans (3.5 oz), 2/3 c margarine or butter, 2/3 c flour.
Put canned sweet potatoes in buttered casserole. Mix all ingredients & pour over potatoes. Bake at 350 until golden brown.
Oh this is just so yummy. Feel free to return and get your second or third helping. Enjoy!
