Have You Got Swine Flu?

This article is designed to be a quick reference for people who think they may have influenza identified as the H1N1 virus commonly known as Swine Flu.

It is important that Swine Flu is treated as soon as possible as the sooner you can start medication designed to combat the virus the quicker you will recover.

Symptoms unique to influenzas including Swine Flu are:

Not being able to breathe properly, having to take breaths to complete sentences, confusion (not knowing what day it is, forgetting things for example), dizziness, dehydration (dry throat) vomiting, and a fever (a sweating brow – caused by a very high temperature). If these symptoms have come on quickly (over a matter of hours) and you have been in contact with someone with a confirmed or suspected case of swine flue it is likely you have the illness. Consult a doctor or medical practitioner IMMEDIATELY

Symptoms common to colds or influenzas (including Swine Flu) are:

Sneezing, coughing, a blocked nose, a runny nose, a sore throat, pain when swallowing, a high temperature between 37-38.3C or 98.6-101.0F, mild earache, tiredness and headache.
