Swiss Replica Rolex
70I have to tell you right off - I am not a fan of fake Rolex watches, and even less so of companies selling them.
If you are thinking of buying a Swiss replica Rolex, be forewarned: selling fake watches is against the law, and there are actual documented cases of legal ramifications for the manufacture and/or sale of counterfeit watches, with perpetrators being indicted on felony charges. Montres Rolex SA has even gone after eBay.
Quite apart from the legal aspect of counterfeiting, there are other points to be considered before you kiss your money goodbye (and yes, when you buy a fake Rolex, you might as well be throwing your money out the window).
There is, of course, no shortage of companies that sell fakes and go out of their way to convince the gullible buyer that their replicas look exactly like the genuine Rolex watches. Yes, dealers are well aware that they are running afoul of trademark laws, but I suppose they are willing to take that risk. Should you? Read on and then decide.
You might have seen the name "Swiss Replica Rolex," however there is no company with that name. If you Google "Swiss Replica Rolex" you will get a slew of listings of distributors offering fake watches, so I am assuming this is a global term for counterfeit watch peddlers. A common denominator of these companies is that none of their fakes is actually manufactured in Switzerland, but mostly (if not exclusively) in Asia.

Why fake Rolexes are simply not worth it
Here are some of the reasons you should not fall into the trap (aside from the legal ramifications): you don't know who you are dealing with. I've actually went online, checked some of these companies out, and noticed that none of them provides an address. Surprised? Not really. If I were breaking a law, I'd want to remain anonymous as well. A reputable company will always display its full address as well as the names of their board of directors. So the lack thereof should sound off an alarm in your head.
Another problem with fake Rolexes is the after-sales service. While these companies do offer a warranty, can you really trust a firm that is breaking the law in the first place, and whose exact geographical location is a mystery?
Also, there is always a good chance that sooner or later these operations will be shut down. They will likely re-appear under a different name - since they don't want to give up their share of a very lucrative market - but in the meantime you can't be sure they won't skip town with your money in their pockets.
The true enjoyment of owning a genuine Rolex is not merely about it being a status symbol. It is the pleasure you get from knowing that the timepiece around your wrist represents the culmination of years of research, top-quality parts and materials, as well as meticulous craftsmanship. You will never get this feeling from a fake watch you buy from fly-by-night, dubious dealers.
I understand that what motivates people to buy fakes is that they don't want to spend the money for a genuine Rolex. Keep in mind though, that replicas are not Rolexes, and if you would like to own a real Swiss watch, look into some moderately-prices ones, such as the Tissot line, for example. They manufacture good quality dressy and sports watches, and I have owned quite a few of these models over the years to my full satisfaction.
Likewise, there are plenty of opportunities to save quite a bit buying a preowned Rolex (naturally, one that has the certification to prove it's genuine).
So don't be fooled by names like Swiss Replica Rolex, and don't fall prey to illicit practices, which may end up costing you more than the price of a fake Rolex.

Copyright infringment is an obvious crime, but he's got a point... quarts movement is more accurate.
I'm with you chase!
I agree with all: it's a crime, it's a felony, lack of integrity... on the other hand, it's true, c-mon! $12.000 for a watch! Go get the BMW man!I guess i'll buy a replica. When I'm rich, i'll buy the real thing. If'i'm never rich, well, i guess i'll say I slept well with my rolex replica. and eventually die happy. Furthermore: my integrity (wife) tells me: I'll leave you if you ever by a $6000 watch. -- Thanks god there are Rolexes, for those who can afford them. And thanks god there are replicas, for us! If there weren't Rolexes, therre would be no replicas at all! Long live them all!!!
if you don't have the money for the real thing, why don't you buy seiko, you have money or you are a loser. what is the problem. pretending to be more rich then you are.
,,you have money or you are a loser" please go *uck yourself.
some people buy replica's en some people buy ,,real" rolex watches.
but some people do have to work for ther money and not collecting wellfare, pretending to be more rich then you are.
12000 is allot of money, for that money i will buy the rolex explorer ll and a used BMW.
I own a Yahtmaster. It is the nicest thing I own. My wife gave it to me on our wedding day and it means the world to me. I could have gotten her a 7 carat fake diamond engagement ring but everyone knows it's quality over quantity. Ask any woman out there what she would prefer, a beautiful 1 carat DIAMOND or a 7 carat fake ring. There are some good fake diamonds and Rolex's out there, but the one wearing it always knows the truth. I would rather wear a casio than have to lie when someone asks me "Hey is that a Rolex?". If it is "doable" then do it, if not, spend your money elsewhere on more important things in your life. A Rolex for some of us is not a flashy status symbol, I am a police officer and I prefer that most of my clients not notice my name brand watch. In the 6 months I have worn my watch ONE person has noticed what I was wearing, and he was a fellow police officer. Don't fake it to make it...just make it.
If Chase has hobbies of yachting and cricket, he should be able to buy a Rolex! I can spot your fake Rolex, and you have to live with the fact that you have a fake watch- that is punishment enough for a stupid argument. You can buy a quality Omega for thousands less, but at least it is close in quality- So, you don't have to buy that watch, but at least have some dignity for an amazing craft. I guess you also drive a fake Mercedes!
Just got a fake Rolex as a gift. i was not deceived the giver said up front it was. My friend shops in China. The guys over there have a stated motto - "you bring us ANYTHING - we can copy it". i guess 'time will tell" (pun intended) just how good they are at copying. I am much more enamoured by the fact that the watch is selfwinding than by the "Rolex" name of course.
Some of the features are rather amusing though:
Stainless steel written on the (transparent) back
18Kt on the stainless steel band
I guess something got lost in translation in China. ^ Don't show anyone that transparent back plate, I don't believe Rolex ever made one. In any real numbers at least.
First of all it is NOT a crime to buy a fake watch; it is just a crime to sell one! Let's get that right. There is not such law that says possession of a fake watch will get you jail time.Secondly, why pretended to be "more rich" that you are buy paying 100 bucks for a fake Rolex and not 40 bucks on a real Casio? Why not? People like it and it is fun. It's the same reason why millions play the lottery, go to casinos, or invest in stocks..... Because they dream of being richer than they are. Simple explanation or do some of you still not get it? I work 40, 50, 60 hours a week and take home a month less than what a real Rolex would cost. After deductions I make a mere $2,400 a month. Now bear in mind after my truck payment, my mortgage, my food, utility bills and some savings I out aside to enjoy a 5 day vacation to Florida (once a year if I’m lucky) how am I going to be a real $8000 watch? (Even a used one would be too much).
That's the problem with smug people who walk out of the jewelry store after placing 3-4 months( of what for some of us is a) good income on cash on a table and wondering why oh why doesn’t every one get one like me?.....
Not being an eccentric millionaire and having to work 6 days a week I am very happy with paying $8-20 for my fake Rolex from Billy Bob's Stall on the city street. Of course I don't JUST by fake watches, I also own a genuine $150 Timberland!
I have to agree with Rodney. Buying a counterfeit Rolex is not a crime. Secondly, the market for genuine Rolexes, is hardly effected by the replicas. Those who would be in the market for a real Rolex watch would never consider a fake one. The people purchasing the fake ones cannot afford a real one. Therefore, the industry is not losing any money. One more thing, it would be interesting to know how much money actually goes into making a $10,000 watch. I'm sure it is a very small fraction of the retail value.
Fakes are sickening. If you think the best fake looks or is anything similar to a real Rolex you are in need of an education. Fake people wear fakes. The money you waste on wannabe stuff could be invested in another brand watch that you can be proud of and know it is real. Tissot, Gucci, or an old Bulova are good choices. Buy them used on an auction and save tons of money without wearing a tacky fake that you always know is a fake and have to lie about when questioned. If yo say your fake is real people will know you are a liar and a fake and that is what you will be.
Fact: a decent fake Rolex will fake 99.99% of the population who notice it on your wrist. OF COURSE anyone familiar with a Rolex watch will be able to tell that it's a fake within a few seconds if allowed to hold the watch in their hands and examine it, but how often are you taking off your watch and allowing someone else to examine it? The fact is, you don't. Let's face it -- the luxury watch industry is pretty silly anyway -- spending thousands of dollars for watches with no precious metals or gemstones that can't tell time as accurately well as a $40 casio? Wearing a fake Rolex is an important statement against such largesse because it dilutes the value of the trademark in the industry. I fully support people from all walks of life wearing fake Rolexes and sticking it to an industry that should have no right to exist.
i have a explorer II watch with a 16610 number on the wrist is it authentic? i just bought it from a friend. thanks
I have nothing against people who purchase fake watches but they also need to tell people it is fake when asked.
I personally have bought fake watches before and ended up spending enough money that could have went to a good swiss made one.
I chucked all the junk fake POS garbage and ended up getting a nice Omega.
I feel good knowing that I am not lying and living with an image that does not exist.
It's not too late to repent.
Well folks, here is the age old argument, to buy or not to buy. Working in the IT industry, I see real and fake watches every day. I have a SS Submariner that is real, but when I wear my Invicta two tone blue pro diver(a gift from my kids) People always approach me and tell me how nice of a watch it is and ask me if it is a Rolex. No one has really noticed or paid any mind to my SS Sub. There are execs who wear casios and Timex where I work and kids
in the mailroom with swiss watches. I really don't think
people care too much about what you wear as long as you dont act like a douche. As far as the comment that if you dont have money you are a loser, that's bullshit. I know
plenty of cool people that don't have a lot of money. As far as watches go, buy what YOU like. After all, you are the one who is going to wear it every day. No one else really cares.

I sleep very well with my automatic winding japanese movement fake rolex adorning my wrist.
If I had $12,000 to spend on a wrist watch that I'd probably lose and my hobbies included cricket or motor yaughting, maybe I'd have a more similar opinion to the author of this article; especially when I see fake rolexes for 1 percent of the cost that look 92.5% authentic and I'm the chuckle head that just dropped a downpayment on a BMW on my wrist.
Further, I own a few watches that cost 4-800$, but I could never fathom spending any more than that. Let's face it, the decades of R&D invested in a Rolex timepiece has been far surpassed by the quality of time measurement provided by our friends at the Casio company...
Even if i am lineing kim jong il's pockets, I'm ok with it- he likes dolce gabana and so do I.
