When you have swollen gums around tooth it's probably an early indication of some gum disease and needs attention.

If you take this problem to your dentist you will get some genuine sympathy and a course of treatment that may involve costly bills - but you're unlikely to get a permanent cure - because dentist's don't have a permanent cure for gum disease in their toolbox.

You will also find that the proprietary brands of toothpaste and mouthwash you're using will almost certainly be making the situation worse - due to the levels of chemicals and irritants in their composition.

However, an excellent low-cost cure for gum disease and most forms of oral problems exists - and you can easily use it at home.

There are a number of possible causes - but unless you have specific issues with that one tooth (such as a new crown or a dental repair) - then the most frequently occuring reason - and the most likely for your swelling - is the early stages of gum disease.

Certainly - this is not something you want to leave untreated.
