Ever since I was a child I have always been fascinated with signs, sign language, bill boards, logos e.t.c  I don't know why but I have always been able to understand symbols and I guess have a gift for recognising them too.. Even if I have never seen it before I will know what it resembles or what it is to do with. 

As a tattoo enthusiast I obviously really dig symbol tattoo designs, and tribal tattoos e.t.c  But for me they don't have to be meaningful tattoos.  For instance a cross, that symbolises christ.  Maybe even the fish symbol that stands for christianity.   However, although symbols like this actually mean something.   For me a symbol doesn't have to stand for anything to get my attention.  If its just an aesthetically pleasing design then I will love it and will give it my own meaning, my own interpretation of what I think it means.  

In recent years,  love, life and loyalty have been very popular amongst symbol tattoos,  however some of them at first glance look like a nice tribal tattoo but when you look at it again a bit closer you may find a heart (love)  an ankh/cross (for Life)  and a ring (for loyalty)  I must say designs like this are very cool and I have to take my hat off to the artists and designers who create such fabulous tattoos.
