What Are Symptoms
A symptom is a signal that something is not quite right in the body. Signs are signals that can be detected by a doctor, nurse or health care professional. Having one particular symptom may not be enough to define its cause. A rash found on the skin could be the result of a skin infection or brush with pioson ivy, but a rash that does not dissipate over time and is occumpanied with high fever, achiness, chills and a sore throat could be a more serious situation that needs to be addressed. Sometimes a doctor cannot immediately diagnose an illness from a random occurance of symptoms. This requires medical tests( x-rays, blood tests, and or biopsy.
Cancer Symptoms And Thier Causes
Cancer is a disease can can cause a wide variety of symptoms. Its location, size, and its affect on nearby organs and tissues with define certain symptoms. Cancer cells have the ability to metastisize( spread to other parts of the body) and this results in symptoms felt in varius locations throughtout the body. As cancer cells replicate they begin to form tumors that grow and eventually cause pressure on nearby organs, blood vessels , and nerves. This may cause certain symptoms. Example if there is a brain tumor it can immediately cause noticable symptoms.(headache). Pancreatic cancer have to develope over a certain period of time before symptoms arrise. As the mutant cells replicate and the tumor expands it pushes against nerves and results in backpain. this is a common symptom of pancreatic cancer. Other tumors grow around the bile duct blocking the flow of bile causing jaundice( yellowing of the eyes and skin) If a person is experiencing these symptoms then the cancer is in an advanced stage. It has begun to metastisize.
Cancer cells use up much of the bodies energy supply and release substances that change the way the body makes energy from food. These symptoms are fever fatigue and weight loss. The reaction of the immune system fighting the cancer could result in these symptoms. Some cancers( Pancreatic cancer ) release substances that cause blood clots in the veins of the legs and some lung cancers release hormone-like substances that raise blood calcium levels. These processes cause symptoms that make a person feel weak and dizzy. These symptoms are not directly related to the cancer.
Symptoms Are Helpful
It's important to not that early detection is key to successfully treating the cancer. If diagnosed in it's early stages preventive measures can be taken to prevent metastasis.A good example is melanoma skin cancer. If found in it's early stages the five year survival rate is 100% . If the cancer has reached metestasis the rate drops to nearly 20%.
It is important to note that if you experience any symptoms that you should react. Many individuals hesitate and even are fearfull in the potential outcome, but it is very important to react to a situation in order to find successful treatment of the disease. Women sometme mistake a tumor for a cyst, but if diagnosed early then the potential for the cancer to advance is greatly reduced.
Sometimes it is possible to find cancer before you develop any symptoms. The American Cancer Society recommends cancer-related check-ups and tests for early detection. This could define a potential problem even before symptoms occur. It is important to note that if you do experience any symptoms that you consult with your doctor.
General Symptoms
Note that if you experience these symptoms it doesn't mean you have cancer. There are other complications that cause cause these symptoms
Pain
Pain is an early symptom associated with some cancers( bone cancer) A headache that does not go away may be a symptom of a brain tumor.Back pain can be a symptom of pancreatic, colon, rectum, or ovarian cancer.Pain is more often a symptom associated with metastasis.(the spread of cancer to other parts of the body)
Unexplained weight loss
The first initial signs of cancer may be unexplained weight loss. This occurs with pancreatic, stomach, esophagus, or lung cancer.
Specific Cancer Symptoms
You should look for signs associated with certain cancers.
Fever
Fever occurs when the cancer has metastized.Almost all patients with cancer will have fever at some time, especially if the cancer or its treatment affects the immune system. This is associated with blood cancers (leukemia and lymphoma)
Fatigue
Extreme tiredness that does not get better with rest may be a symptom of certain blood cancers. Leukemia ,stomach and colon cancers cause the body to lose blood.
Bowel And Bladder Function
Chronic constipation, diarrhea, and changes in stool size could result from colon cancer. Pain when passing urine or blood in the urine could result from bladder, or prostate cancer.
Unusual bleeding/discharge
This can occur in the early or advanced stages. Blood in the sputum(phlegm) is caused from lung cancer. Blood in the stool(dark stool) caused from colo/rectal cancer. Cervical cancer can cause unusual vaginal bleeding. Blood in the urine is caused from bladder/kidney cancer. Breast cancer can result in a bloody discharge from the nipple.
Complications with swallowing
Complications with swallowing is caused from esophageal, stomach , and or pharynx(throat) cancer.
Skin Changes
Skin cancers cause changes within the skin. These symptoms are
- darker looking skin (hyperpigmentation)
- yellowish skin and eyes (jaundice)
- reddened skin (erythema)
- itching
- excessive hair growth
Sores that do not heal
Skin cancers bleed and look like sores that do not heal. Prolonged sores in the mouth can be a sign of oral cancer. Smokers and individuals who chew tobacco or more prone to this type of cancer. Signs of early cancer are sores on the penis or vagina.
Thickening/Lumps found in the skin
Some cancers can be felt through the skin. These are breast ,testicular, and cancer of the glands(lymphe nodes) A lump or thickening of the skin could be discovered in the early or late stages of cancer.
Prolonged cough and hoarseness
Prolonged cough could be the effects of lung cancer. Hoarseness could result from cancer of the larynx or thyroid.
Changes in a mole or wart
Any wart, mole, or freckle that changes its color, shape, size and loses its definite borders should be reported immediately. This may be a melonoma and if found in its early stages can be treated successfully.

Acidity vs alkalinity
If you experience any of the following symptoms you should consult with your doctor. When we experience symptoms of disease, infection, and etc our bodies are trying to tell us something. We have to react, but we need to take a closer look at what the problem is. If our bodies are not functioning at its optimal performance then there is an underlining issue. The body has the ability to heal itself, but it must be given the right tools in order to do so. The body is a complex integrated system of mini systems all functioning to make life possible. Each cell has a specific function and can only function in an akaline environment. Cancer is the result of the body and its fluids becoming acidic(breaking down). Note if you have cancer and have overcome it that doesnt mean that it's gone forever. Only akalizing the body is the key to regeration of the cell. The absense of oxygen in the cell will cause the cell to acidify therefore breeding a mutant cell (cancer cell). Dr Otto Warburg a nobel prize winning doctor discovered and documented that if you drive oxygen out of the cell you induce cancer. This imformation is documented yet the medical community in some parts of the world choose to ignore it. With knowledge and education combined with a healthy diet we can overcome the dreaded disease called cancer that's plaguing our society.
