Symptoms of Pregnancy - How to Tell If you are Pregnant

Some very early pregnancy symptoms are obvious, even before you miss your period. In this article, you will discover what to pay attention to in your body if you suspect you could be pregnant.

Early pregnancy symptoms can be hard to know for sure because they are very similar to PMS. You might just assume that what you are experiencing is typical and means that your period will come soon.

Not so fast! Many women appear to have a instinct that tells them that something is not the same. If you think that your body is trying to let you know something, it may be worth paying attention to.

Amongst the earliest symptoms of pregnancy is fatigue. Sudden, unusual exhaustion and feeling fatigued at points in the day when you should have energy are all symptoms that some women report. The fatigue that comes with pregnancy is due to the pregnancy hormones having an effect on your body. Fatigue can appear almost right away.

The next common early pregnancy symptom that you might experience is tender, sore breasts. If you have already had a baby, this can be a more obvious symptom and you might even notice your breasts swelling rather early on in your pregnancy.

Morning sickness can be another symptom of early pregnancy and the one that seems to get focused on the most. Like many other things in pregnancy, morning sickness is different from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy. Morning sickness can be anything from slight queaziness to vomiting and does not only happen in the morning, despite the name. Some women notice that their morning sickness is worsened by certain smells, including the smells of some food.

Lastly, the most undeniable symptom of early pregnancy is your missed period. If you exhibit any of the symptoms above and your period is late, it might be time to buy a home pregnancy test or make an appointment with your OBGyn.

Thanks, that's an informative hub.

My earliest symptom was that I noticed swelling around my stomach and hips, as early as 4 or 5 weeks! I was also shocked at how early breasts start to hurt, and just how painful they can get at such an early stage!
