You have just unpacked your brand new Ipod touch and you want everything on it to work, but you are like most people or when I say most people I mean im very impatient and i wouldnt read the manual.
Having an Ipod touch and not using the full features of it would be like having a car and pushing it along. Your Ipod touch is not just for playing music it has so many more features like reading your emails through it, surfing the internet. If you dont use the full features you may as well just by a normal Ipod or even just a plain mp3 player.
So in this article we are going to go through syncing your Ipod touch with other medias so you can get the most out of your Ipod touch.

Okay getting to the good stuff here we go:-
You can synchronise the following items to your Ipod Touch
- Web bookmarks
- Movies
- Contacts—names, phone numbers, addresses, email addresses, and so on
- Music and audiobooks
- Podcasts
- TV shows
- Calendars—appointments and events
- Photos
You set what you want to sync and then simply plug in your iPod touch, your Ipod will do the rest it will sync everything you selected.
Synchronisation works both ways if you
change something on your iPod touch it will upload it to your pc and one the other side if you
change something on your pc it will upload it to your iPod Touch.
You can if you choose just sync parts of your iPod touch. If you choose you could only sync your address book or just your photos. You can control every aspect of your synchronisation process.

You will need to use iTunes software on your pc to select all the items you wish to sync. Before you start make sure you have the most up to date Itunes software as some of the sync features are not avaiable in the other versions of Itunes
Step 1: Connect iPod touch
- Plug your iPod touch into your pc via USB cables provided
- Choose your iPod touch from the source list in itunes.
Step 2: Select items you want syncing
If you want to sync outlook to your iPod touch there are two main areas
1. Address book
2. Calendar.

- Select the info tab in iTunes software.
- Choose “Sync contacts from” item
- Then Select which source you want to sync with i.e. Yahoo or
Outlook as the email source

Finally you need to click on Apply button in the lower-right corner. Then your computer will sync to your iPod touch what ever your settings are.

The modern day Ipod is so much more then music so why not take advantage if not you go and buy a classic ipod.

Sounds like your ITouch has been formated for use with a mac rather then a PC , if you havent got anything on your ipod you need , I would suggest wiping it and starting again but this time connected to a PC

these directions are very straightforward but what if I'm trying to download my Outlook email and calendar from my work laptop? My main computer is my iMac desktop at home from which I sync all my iTunes songs and events. But now I just started a new job and got a PC. When I tried installing iTunes, it came up of course as completely empty and I can't figure out how to make the laptop read my iTouch when I plug it into the USB?
