Whitney Houston Cleaved to Bobby Brown with Each Act of Humiliation

Whitney Houston has been in the entertainment news because of the release of her new comeback album and was recently on the Oprah Show. The news was not a surprise to the public that Bobby Brown had abused Whitney Houston to the tune of actually spitting in her face which is inconceivable. Whitney Houston blame his actions on heavy alcohol use, his drug of choice.

Whitney Houston continued to cleave to her husband as she was taught and admitted joining Bobby Brown in his drug use. Bobby Brown was not done as Whitney Houston admitted that he slapped and shoved her as she withdrew in her "little girl" state after each offense. The video was televised on Oprah of Whitney Houston closing her eyes to the torment that she had endured during her fourteen year marriage to Bobby Brown.

Whitney Houston's, daughter Bobbie Christina was exposed to the abuse. Whitney Houston  would cleave to her husband Bobby Brown as she laced her marijuana with rock cocaine and as he drinked heavily increasing his violent tendencies. Bobbie Chistina would follow Whitney Houston to rehab in an effort to get over the drugs. Whitney Houston, on the Michael Jackson's 2001 Anniversary still ridin on the fame of Body Guard and subsequent movies, was indeed thin because of the drug use. Whitney Houston admitted to using the drugs on the Oprah show presently  but hid the revelation on a previous  interview show though her thinness revealed the truth.

How could Bobby Brown spit into an American Icon's face, run around with women and not think of himself less of a man? Most women would say that it did not matter if Whitney Houston was an American Icon or just a woman in a relationship, the action was humiliating. One would wonder why would Whitney Houston be so transparent now? Is Whitney Houston talking because the divorce is final and she no longer has to cleave to her husband and commit to his ways, however uncharacteristic?

At one time, Whitney Houston's mother threatened to take Bobbie Christina into legal custody if Whitney Houston did not leave her abuser and  stop leading a lifestyle of which she was not raised. Whitney Houston finally left after telling Bobby Brown that she was going out for a few groceries. Whitney Houston knew that she was not coming back as she boarded a private jet with her daughter and a friend and headed to California. Whitney Houston being a "good wife" still waited a year and a half for Bobby Brown to follow her.

Bobby Brown never came to California, instead his daughter started seeing him being publicized with other women. It was Whitney Houston's daughter who told her that the way Bobby Brown was treating her was not "alright."

Now Whitney Houston is back with a new release of an album as people wonder if her finances had run out supporting and participating in Bobby Brown's drug use. Whitney Houston thanked Oprah for the opportunity to tell her story and then did what she did best and song from her newly released album.

Domestic violence has no financial barrier and although Whitney Houston was raised in a religious home, Bobby Brown abused her for fourteen years of her life. If Bobby Brown had read the following excerpt or was not so "jealous" (Whitney Houston's word's) of her success, maybe Bobbie Christina would not have had see what Whitney Houston went through. Whitney Houston desperately tried to cling to her upbringing of cleaving to her husband and also attempting to prove the public wrong about the relationship mismatch. Whitney Houston described her relationship in the beginning with Bobby Brown as "passionate."

The militant state of the country in the mid twentieth century caused a second look at the woman's place as referenced in the many women who earned degrees and worked outside of the home. Women now could make a living with a new freedom of purpose. It is a known fact that the disparities in women and men wages still exist and the origins may get the foothold from references that women should be submissive.  That subject is highly debatable.  The good book  says that a woman should cleave to a man in marriage and that is her only hope to have a decision making role in the marriage of equality.

Whitney Houston cleaved to Bobby Brown until she was almost a skeleton on drugs trying to support her family. If only the counterparts of the male propensity for dominance would adhere to treating the woman as he would himself, the woman would be satisfied with her state in this country. Bobby Brown obviously had no knowledge of the aforementioned statement.

Biblical references are well founded and documented, however it would be interesting to know but for the theology majors, how many American men can attest to knowledge of how women should be treated. More men interested in the godly way of viewing a woman would do great justice in decreasing the divorce rate, domestic violence and would add to the happiness of the family unit as a whole.

As Bobbie Christina looks and now is even beginning sing as her mother Whitney Houston, it is apparent that although Whitney Houston divorced from Bobby Brown, she still is a part of a loving family. Whitney Houston attested in the interview with Oprah of her loved ones who kept Bobby Brown in check. Whitney Houston said that Bobby Brown would treat her with respect when they both were around certain people. Whitney Houston claimed to have started defending herself but her best move was when she walked away from the marriage and never returned.  Sometimes the best defense is not an offense but just to walk about from a "crumbling" situation.  Crumbling is a term used in the song Whitney Houston sung on the Oprah show and these are her words as recalled from the Oprah Show:  "I may have fallen but I did not crumble."
