T-Mobile adds kidConnect cell phone plans

Kidconnect from T-Mobile is a simple limiting cell phone plan to keep you in touch with your kids and keep your kids from running up the cell phone bill.

Cell Phone Horror Stories

Have you heard Horror stories about kids creating $200 phone bills? I have a friend whose son ran up a $1000 bill in one month calling his new girlfriend in Canada--He is 14 years old. T-Mobil has the solution. They have created a limited phone account you can get for your kid if you are a T-Mobile customer.

How KidConnect from T-Mobile Works

Sign up to add a kidConnect plan to your plan and it will add $19.95 per month to your plan. Your child will get 100 anytime minutes and unlimited minutes to other T-Mobile users. When the 100 minutes are used up the phone will still work but only to call or receive calls from other T-Mobile users.

Advantages over Prepaid phones

The big advantage of this plan over a prepaid plan is even when your child is out of minutes they will still be able to call you on your T-Mobile phone. The unlimited T-Mobile minutes in this plan is great. Most other Contract companies like Verizon, At&T, Alltel will charge more like $30 just for unlimited in network calling.

T-Mobile Minute Roll Over

You can add more minutes before the month is up if your child has used up their 100 minutes. The monthly 100 minutes on this plan do not roll over. If you add minutes during the month the extra minutes will roll over.

T-Mobile To Go Prepaid Phones

T-Mobile also has Prepaid phones that are great for kids. With a prepaid phone you do not have to sign a contract. You get service time and minutes by buying T-Mobile Phone cards. The cost per minute ranges from 33 cents to 10 cents a minute depending on how much you spend at one time on your minutes. Check for more Information on T-Mobil Prepaid phones.

T-Mob phones can be one of the best deals in prepaid.

The best thing about giving my child a cell phone they know they have to answer if I call and I now can always know where they are. If they do not answer they lose their phone and mobility.
