Taipei 101 is a 101-floor (1474ft) landmark skyscraper that claimed the title of the World’s tallest building opened at Taipei in 2004. The most striking feature is to get the access to tower’s upper floor leading to observation deck, which is very expensive. But the vision from the top is superb and incomparable.This has made Taipei a center of attraction for global tourists. Besides, many shopping avenues that have built up by the time can easily win the hearts of tourists.

The Museum of Taiwan is ranked as world’s top fifth:

The Museum is a pride of Taiwan as it ranked world’s top fifth. The Museum was opened to public in December 24, 1983. It was made by Taiwanese artists in a period of about 50 year’s hard labour, where it had displayed the artistic supremacy.The beautiful garden in front of the Museum is worth seeing.

Taipei is one of the largest Computer expo centers of the world:

Computex Taipei is a computer expo held annually at the Taipei World Trade Centre in Taipei and now it is one of the largest computer and Technology fairing center of the world. Taipei became a special administrative area in December 1967. Because of the production of high technology and its components, it became a global city. Its economic growth was increased to such an extent that it holds one of the world’s largest foreign exchange reserves of over US$321 billion in 2009. The occupation of Japan for 1895-1945 periods was instrumental in the industrialization of the Island.

The High Speed Rail System has reduced the transit time by 60%:

Taipei’s Public Transport system is unique in nature. Besides motor cars and Bus, it maintained Metro and light Rail system. The Rail system is based on advance VAL and Bombardier technology. VAL is a type of automatic rubber –tired people mover technology, discovered in French and used only in French, Chicago and Taipei. South Korea is recently taken up the project to implement in 2010. Bombardier is a company of Berlin in Germany giving technology solution for rail control. Taiwan high speed Rail system was opened in 2007 in Taipei. The bullet Train connects Taipei with all the big cities of west coast. The system had reduced the transit time by 60% or more what they normally are on a bus or conventional train. For convenience the Government has introduced a system of pass called Easy-Card. It is nothing but credits that are deducted each time a ride is taken. The Easy-Card is read via proximity Sensory panels on buses and in MRT (Metro) stations and it does not need to be removed from one’s Wallet or purse. There is easy metro system for moving around the city.

The City is arranged around a grid structure:

Taipei is the Capital city of Taiwan. It is a big city lying in a valley in the north of the Taiwan Island. The City is arranged around a grid structure, with wide roads running from north to south and east to west. Taipei maintains an extensive system of parks, green places and natural preserves. Xinsheng South road is known as the road to heaven because of its high concentration of temples as well as shrines. The night stroll is safe in Taipei and roaming at night in the night market around the city is a pleasure to enjoy. The visit of Downtown Taipei is enjoyable for its delicious meal in any restaurant.The population of Taipei is 70% ethnic HOKLO group who speaks both standard Mandarin and Taiwanese Minnan language. But English is learnt as compulsory second language.

Maokong Gondola of Taipei is developing underground shopping molls, parks and public squares. Maokong Gondola is a gondola lift transportation system in Taipei opened in July 4, 2007. It is a crowning achievement of the Mayor of Taipei during his 8 years in office.

Taiwan is an Island in the East Asia between the South China Sea and East China Sea. It is Southeaster coast of mainland China. Taiwan is mostly mountainous in the east and gently sloping plains in the west. In the first Sino-Japan war, the Island was occupied by Japan in 1895. After the fall of Japan in 2nd World War, the People’s Republic of China took control of Island in 1945. Later Chiang Kai-shek, democratic leader shifted to Taiwan and made Taipei as the capital of Republic of China in 1949.

Taipei-101 Skyscraper and the Museum are the two achievement of Taiwan that have displayed the artistic supremacy and technological skill of Taiwanese people to the world.
