THE 100 MILLION DOLLAR MAN

YOU KNOW THERE'S SOMETHING VERY WRONG when a politician spends one hundred million dollars to get himself elected mayor.

One hundred million dollars!

And he calls himself a public servant. What servant would ever spend that kind of money for a job? Or even have that much money?!

Call me a skeptic, go ahead, but I cannot believe a man has such a desire to serve his fellow man that he'd spend that kind of money to be a mayor.

If somebody has that kind of money to spend ---

And his goal is to help people ---

And he wants to go to an office every day ---

Then why doesn't he set up a charity, any kind of charity he wants, and put his money right to work for people?

Look, he's already been mayor for two terms. Show me what kind of great stuff he's done for the people of New York City. Is the inner city thriving? Have those vacant buildings been transformed into nice apartments? Are the schools graduating kids who know how to read?

Why does a man spend 100 million dollars, most of it his own money, just to be a mayor?

It has to be the power and influence.

Being a billionaire wasn't enough.

Sure, it must be kind of irksome to be a billionaire but only known in financial circles.

Haven't we all run across a rich guy throwing his weight around, "Do you know who I am?"

One hundred million dollars so everybody knows your name.

Are we impressed???
