Dedicated to all the unwilling wives that serve coffee to their husbands:

Automatic coffee machines are nice to have especially if you’re the wife having to make the coffee ever time your husband asks for coffee to be maid!

However for those of us men that claim to be men of God and have a wife that also claims to be a woman of God; we sometimes find ourselves in a debate over the phrase “Woman submit to your Husband”

This has been on going battle in my house! My wife says she is a liberal wife and claims that God has given the wife independence in the marriage! I have told her this is true however the husband makes the final decision this being said the husband is to listen to the wife and furthermore be humble in knowing that she too has a mind and is right from time to time as well!

With this being an on-going joke in my marriage I was being condescending (In a joking way) to my wife one day and had told her that I was mighty parched and needed to have some coffee made!

Well she had gone as far as buying an automatic coffee machine that all you had to do was push the button and it would make the amount of coffee you wanted! However for some odd reason I would always ask her to make the coffee!

So while I was at work that day my wife must had a long talk with God asking him to show her a way that she could get it through my thick skull that it was not her assigned job from God to be my servant and boy did he show her!

What she did next I will never forget, as I was joking with her about making me coffee she reached over and grabbed the bible and said to me “honey I know you are a minister and all and I do not mean to insult your knowledge of the bible however I want to show you something that I read today.

So she handed me the bible opened it to the first page of  HEBREWS she then said I want you to speak that word out loud and I did just that. She then busted out in a loud laughter and said I told you God does not expect a woman to be bare footed and pregnant behind the stove serving her husband!

She went onto to say the Word He-Brews means I was to get up and brew the coffee. So from that day forward I realized how easy it was to hit the button on automatic coffee machines!
