83THE SUPREME BEING
Feelin' Irie Today? Good. Lay Back. Hammock, Lawnchair. Beach. Radio. The Most Beautiful Music in the World in gonna help Relax Your Mind. See How It Soothes You?
And All It asks in Return is that WE, the Fortunate Ones, the "Tomorrow People" (as Ziggy Marley once called us) Listen to the Words that Heal You. LET'S GET TOGETHER AND FEEL ALRIGHT. To these Songs of Freedom, These Redemption Songs. The order does not really matter and that is why I didn't obsess over it like I normally would. This is the music born of struggle and poverty. Of HUMANITY.
This music was given to us by people who knew the risks involved with recording their beliefs on tape. Knew the price of spreading hope to the oppressed. That is why Bob Marley always sounded amazingly human and full of life. Because he knew he was dying and lived every day to the fullest. He and Jah were that tight.
So in honor of Bob Marley, Martin Luther King Jr, John Lennon, Mahatma Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and all the Freedom Fighters out there who knew one small truth. We are all the same. Equals.
one love.
one heart.

Where's Dennis Brown's "Sitting And Watching" or June Lodge's "Someone Loves You Honey". Yellowman? What about "Greetings"?
(otherwise, nice list... but "Pass The Dutchie" when you didn't list the original it was based on?
who was the original singer of the John Holt hit I WILL
Gregory Isaacs- "Night Nurse" is my favorite as well as "Cool Down the Pace" and "Stranger in Town"
and Barrington Levy-" Murderer"
THE BEST!!!!!!!!
Reading your list and watching/listening to the videos lowered my blood pressure about 10 points! Reggae always instantly transports me into sunny climes.
Johnny Too Bad by Jimmy Cliff is one of my alltime faves. MM
The Beatles did the original 'I Will', its on the White Album.
This is a great list. Except you have Hard Road to travel in there twice so you could replace it with Wonderful World, Beautiful People!
I can't belive that Armagideon Time by Willie Williams isn't on the list, aside from that great list.
How is there no Burning Spear on this list????

Cool reggae videos. I've been a big fan of Bob Marley for years. Not just his music, but his whole lifestyle and beliefs. His promotion of love and equality for everyone thru his music was an inspiration to all. He is sorely missed today. We could use an artist like Bob these days.
