On the October long weekend in 1997, Five friends went into the NSW bush to have some quality time camping. It was going to be the time of their lives, camping out under the stars, cooking over an open fire, telling stories and singing along to the hits of the day. For two of them however, it would be the end of their lives, dying in absolute agony at the hands of two sex crazed maniacs who were under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Never would they hold their own babies in their arms, never would they walk down the aisle with their true loves, the very things that school girls dream about, their family dynasties wiped out by these loathsome mongrels who had no sense of decency about them.
The two girls, Lauren Margret Barry and Nichole Emma Collins left the camp site to walk back to the town of Bega NSW, a short walk away. They were then abducted off the side of the road by Leslie Camilleri and Lindsay Beckett whose names the whole world should never forget.
Driving south along the Princess highway , they were then raped numerous times and murdered at Fiddlers green creek.
At times like this, it makes me wonder what we are here for. For the most of us , we are family orientated , we live the way our mother and father taught us, and we live by the rules of society and when we have children of our own ,we try to bring them up the same way, decent law biding citizens .
How ever there comes a time when the impossible happens to loving families who love one another, their dreams are wiped out by complete strangers who have no regard for human life what so ever and do not care what happens to any one else .
WHY!!? Why is it that these two girls from loving decent families were taken from this world under horrible circumstances? They had not hurt anybody, they had heaps of friends, and most of them had entered the search for them when they went missing, so taking into account the rules that we as civilized human beings live by, why did it happen?
These two sexed crazed criminals are now in jail, never to be released.
I hope they die in jail and if they are ever to be released, I will be the first one down there with a placard that says REMEMBER!
I won’t go into the crazed details that happened to the girls because it only offends people and the families who need closure for this horrible tragedy. . I will only say this; we really have no idea what we are on earth for! We have no idea why the world works in such mysterious ways, but we all hope that in the next world to come, that people that dish out torture to beautiful human beings will get there punishment for the crimes against civilization.

i totaly agree with your statement and sentiment i myself personly sat through the trial of Leslie Camilleri what they done to Lauren and Nichole were hideous and dispicable! these crimes affect so many more people personaly than a lot of people realise, i was myself in a personal relasionship with leslie camilleri and we share a child together a daughter who is now 16 years old, and my heart races and my stomach churns at the thought of anybody doing something like that to our child! it is not often that i admit that i have a child with this monster! life has been hell for my daughter because of her demonic fathers actions she has been punished mentaly and emotionaly by his dispicable actions and for the damage and desperation pain and grief he has caused to so many people lives mr vincent was correct in his statement saying that leslie alfred camilleri forfitted the rite to walk among us!it is hard to comprehend how i could have loved such a monster it makes me phisicaly ill at the thought!.i hope you rot in your prison cell at a very old age you are a monster!

Yes, these monsters should be hanged in public till death, but alas US Law Makers yet to make a law and US public is in deep slumber. You asked, for what we are in the world, yes we are here to ensure that the world is purged of such monsters. I know you are already doing a lot by hightlighting your Hickie Reports, but this matter, A Daeth Sentense for confirmed Rapists needs to be brought in focus of US public and US Law Makers.

Except Mr Sangha this happened in Australia where a death sentence is not practiced.
And especially looking at the US where the death sentence is still applied in some states I see that it does not seem to serve as a very strong deterrent to criminals at all.
