THE HOME BLACKBOX- A FIREPROOF SAFE

Fireproof Safes
In large passenger airplanes,
we all know they keep what is referred to as, the black box, which is
actually orange, but we won't go into that now. This black box is incredibly
heavy, which is why we don't make entire planes out of the same material,
just to set that record straight. Black boxes are actually just made
of thick, thick steel. This steel is filled with a foam that insulates
the on flight recorder against the high temperature post crash fires.
They are fairly indestructible. Wouldn't you feel safer knowing
your valuable belongings could be kept just as safe. The truth of the
matter is, purchasing a class A fireproof safe is like buying a blackbox.Â
Fireproof safes have been around
for many many years. Safes had been on the market since the early 1820s.
They have been protecting important documents, and valuables from the
hands of thieves and crooks. But there was nothing that could insure
safety of these belongings when in a fire. So higher technology, starting
in the 1840s they began experimenting with how to craft the best fireproof
safes. Safes have been around so long now, that we can create virtually
indestructible cabinets for the protection of those things most valuable
to everyday people like you and I. There is an incredibly developed
industry and system behind the construction of safes. Safes are made
of metal, which is designed to be extremely durable. And they can be
purchased in three categories, Burglary safe, fire safe, or fire/burglary
safe, not really rocket science. The point is don't waste your time
on half quality products. Spend the time needed to find the quality
you deserve. Â
Just like a black box, if you
purchase a fire and burglary safe you will be buying something that
is practically indestructible. Its basically a solid metal cabinet,
with thick metal doors and walls. Then inside is a secondary wall between
the two is placed a layer of fire-resistant insulation. They come in
three ratings, class A which can protect your belongings up to a maximum
of 2000 degree heat for multiple hours. Class B can endure fire with
1850 degree heat for two hours. And class C is capable of resisting
1000 degree heat for an hour. As you consider your purchase, consider
the value of these classes. Fireproofing things that you can not replace
is a matter of great importance. Fires can happen anywhere and at anytime.
Just like burglary can happen day or night. There is no way for you
to predict its coming, and there is no way for you to stop it, unless
you prepare now. Consumer level safes need to be carefully considered
before a purchase. The quality of safes bought from sale stores like
Target and WalMart has been dropped so low that you can break into a
safe with very little effort. So don't think that making an investment
like this will come easy and cheap.Â
Why would human beings have
spent so much time and effort on the development of better equipment
and more well made safes if it wasn't a need. There is a huge need to
protect ourselves and our families. Consider a fireproof safe. There
is no substitute for responsible preparation.Â
